Personally I though Condit should have at least another fight with a ranked guy *Matt Brown* before getting a title shot, he got his ass kicked by Woodley only two fights ago. Still a great match up though. Speaking of Woodley, he's fighting Hendricks on the same card.
This should be a great fight. Lawler / Condit has the potential to be even better than Lawler / MacDonald. Woodley / Hendricks should be fun too.
Even first round, both landing good shots. Second round, Woodley tiring, condit landing shots but still a very even round and then the injury occurred. Condit was losing, but he has a history of coming on strong in the later rounds. Lawler is also known for finishing strong. That's one of the reasons why this has fight of the year potential. I'd love to see a Condit / Woodley rematch. I'm more excited about Condit / Lawler. Whoever wins between Woodley and Hendricks will get the next title shot.
You and Gatti are OPPOSITE Ends of the Spectrum... No, Condit WASN'T Getting his Ass Kicked, but Woodley WAS Winning the Fight...Having Said that, there was a LOT of Fight Left, @ the Time of the Injury... REED:hammert:
agREED... No Disrespect to Lawler, who's a Certified MAN'S Man, but Condit's Better, in REED's Opinion... REED:hammert:
fatigue was already setting in for woodley and condit was just getting started. I wish woodley would work on his cardio. He would be so much better.
While Lawler's cagey aggressiveness and output should not be discounted, I think Condit takes it in an absolute standup war.
Yes, and as Condit has shown, especially in the MacDonald fight, you can't just beat him for a couple of rounds. You have to beat him for the entire fight. He won't tire and he will be looking to finish you until the last bell. Plus the fight with Woodley was 5 rounds. That being said, I agree with Gatti. Condit needed a top 5 win to get a title shot. Woodley is more deserving. Regardless of how it happened, Woodley did beat Condit head-to-head.

Damn it. This had fight of the year written all over it. I guess two fights of the year from Robbie Lawler in the same year is too much to hope for. The latest news says they're going to reschedule the fight. Of all the great matchups to make at welterweight today, this is the one I'm looking forward to the most.
I hope the UFC keeps this tight scheduled for a later date. They should not let the Hendricks-Woodley outcome impact the rescheduling.
