Interesting card tonight primarily because of the single night tournament in the Light HW division. I am curious to see how Phil Davis does against the best fighters in a lesser promotion. Davis lost some UFC fights but was never really destroyed or badly beaten. He is effectively boring so it will be interesting to see him. But I can't stand the co-promotion deal with Glory Kickboxing and MMA. I like them both, but no reason to have both on the same card. And the production is over-the-top cheesy even for Bellator.
This is here in San Jose tonight. I actually thought about going. I'm going to watch it on Spike, only it's on a 3 hour delay here in California. Kinda sucks. It starts on tv at 9:00. I shouldn't read about it online until I can see it on tv. Paul Daley would be one of the top MMA fighters at welterweight if he hadn't been banned from the UFC. I'm looking forward to his kickboxing fight tonight.
I almost met Fedor last night. :( I went to this Fan Fest thing in Milpitas last night with a friend. It turns out we had to register beforehand to get in to meet the fighters, and 1500 people had already registered. Fedor / Kimbo should be fun for a minute or so. I hope he steps up to real competition after that if he wants to make a comeback.
