I thought this was actually pretty funny. Too bad the fight will probably be an ugly one http://www.skysports.com/klitschko-...-batman-and-vows-to-retire-wladimir-klitschko
Not even a little bit funny. Remarkably unfunny, in fact. What will be funny will be the sight of him lying sparked fucking out once Wlad lands a half decent punch on his daft pikey jaw. I cannot wait for that belly-laugh. MTF
With Wlad's chin (and age), an upset is a distinct possibility, sadly. Like the consensus I hope Wlad sparks him out. But I can't help but remember Cory Sanders.......................
There are a couple of things that make this fight interesting IMO I) Fury is bigger and stronger than Wlad and much more effective inside. This could mean Wlad can't clinch and hold all night since Fury is able to bust him up close. So he has to fight. II) Fury is better boxer than given credit for. His jab is long and active, he can fight southpaw pretty well and he can also move. When people see him they still see the raw near-novice he was three years ago but that is untrue. III) As D&M said, Wlad is getting up in age. I don't see the comparison to Sanders since Fury is nothing like him, but in his last fight Wlad struggled some with Jennings who boxed him. Fury is able to box although his approach is different from Jennings too. In all likelihood Wlad wins, either laying Fury out quickly with his left hook (ala Pulev) or after a long, boring fight by landing more jabs and waltzing (a la Povekin)
Good post. I wasn't really comparing Fury with Sanders, style wise. But yes, Wlad may be forced to fight this time because of Fury's size, which makes it interesting. It could very well be a knock down drag down affair like a Foreman-Lyle.
I'd be very surprised if Furry is stronger than Wald. Furry is taller but he is legitimately fat, rather than strong. Furry is an awful inside fighter. The best inside punch he ever threw was the one he punched himself with. Furry won't box. He's thick as fucking mince. He thinks Wald is a chinny faggot (about the only thing he is right about). He'll come straight on, looking to land big daft pikey shots from the off. That's what makes this a must-watch. Despite the above facts, Furry really, honestly thinks he's really good at boxing, really hard and really better than Wald. He'll absolutely come to fight - I'd be absolutely stunned if he 'pulls a Haye' and starts running and complaining about a sore toe. He'll try to engage as often as he can, and he might land a fight-ender because Wald is a chinny faggot, but it is much more likely, because he is a fat, chinny, jakey cunt, that he gets hit with something he's too sloth-like to avoid and he has a great big sleep. Either way, it should be gloriously daft to watch. It's the first Wald fight I've looked forward to in ages. MTF
Damn Fury comes in for some stick. Although admittedly in press conferences he can come across as a bit of a tit, I think lot of this comes down to wanting to sell a fight and pressure to 'entertain'. His bell end Dad does him no favours either. I think he comes across as a straight up genuine and likeable fella most of the time and think it's refreshing having someone who frankly doesn't give two shits. His recent IFL interviews paint another picture and I recommend them
Fury is now starting to come across as bad and as desperate as Haye dida few years back, starting with the Valuev nonsense - who remembers this shit: <iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/ulyj1Ca_g0g" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" width="560"></iframe> But then, boxing's is in such a shit state, it's probably needed....
I don't know what the fuck you're talking about here. I don't speak Geordie. You type like you grew up on Coronation Street or some shit! ;)
@ ugo - why do you think he is much stronger than Wlad? I mean Wlad definitely looks stronger and punches harder...
I am not sure tbh, to me Wlad has just never seemed like a very strong guy for his size. Wlad punches much harder than Fury for sure but I think if he clinches Fury, Fury will be the one pushing him back and he is able to get his hands free too. Vitali on the other hand seemed very strong, he was able to push his opponents around and off balance with his left arm. I haven't seen Wlad do that
If Fury were to win he might have the worst overall appearance of any modern heavyweight champion. The guy just looks awful.
Its probably a confidence thing. Vitali decided he could push people around. Wlad decided he couldn't. If Vitali decided he could fly he might be able to. If Vitali decided he was Hayden Panetierres new boyfriend he probably would be. If Wlad just walked into guys throwing his bombs he'd be laying them out. It's all in his head. He never lacked heart, he never lacked trying, it's what made me hate the US press who called him a quitter. He never was.
Breasts. Body rolls. Receding hairline. All at the age of 20. Gentleman, Pikey Genes, you are looking at them.
Yep. That's what I felt the minute he started. Fury is hiding. Regarding the fight itself, Wlad is going to be forced to move his hands, and Fury is going to get hit by the straightest shot's he's never seen. This isn't Neven Paijic. Feebles is right. Fury and his people are ignorant enough to think they are the real deal. Fury will try, and might put Wlad down, but if Wlad lands clean, a lot of air is going out of that balloon very fucking fast. And I never knew a knacker that could fight on the back foot. They are great men when they have a skinful of sauce and their mates around them.
To be fair to the big gypo, he doesn't look like that these days. He's got himself into great shape. Well, the best shape possible for his biggest fight to date.
Furry has fast hands for a fat/big/pikey heavyweight or whatever the fuck you people want to call him. He can land punches in this fight.
He's too ugly to be champ! We're just coming out of the horrible era of fat heavyweights, he's a big greasy, flabby fly in the ointment
