Update. Hendricks was not injured. His fat ass could not make the weight. Dana says he is now a middleweight.
I thought Hendricks was going to stop gaining so much weight between fights. Oh well. He'll have some fun fights at middleweight. I'm looking forward to Jordan / Magomedov. Shawn Jordan is surprisingly agile and quick for someone that fat and strong.
Hendricks - Woodley PROMISED to Be an Explosive, Stand-Up Battle...Disappointed that Bout WON'T Transpire...Good Card Though, Nonetheless... REED:hammert:
http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-W3jagRvp9...ok+Kicks+Derrick+Lewis+UFC+Fight+Night+68.gif This is Shawn Jordan's last fight. You don't expect this from a guy who can bench over 600 pounds.
Hendricks at MW ? He looks a little small to me, i'd like to see a pic of him standing next to Weidman or Rockhold. So who have we got in the main event?
Hendricks ruined his career by blowing up between fights. He basically lost the title because he didn't have the same endurance down the stretch as he did in his first fight with Lawler. Now he blows a chance to be the next in line for the Lawler-Condit winner by killing himself to make weight. There is absolutely nothing for him at MW except bigger, stronger guys that can more than handle his wrestling and guys that won't be phased by his punching power.
I'd love to see Gustafsson win and get a rematch with Jon Jones for the title. Realistically, Cormier will probably outwrestle him and make it look easy.
yeah that'd be the best for the division imo. Myabe have Gust defend the belt against AJ and Jones fight Cormier on the same card in winter time, then the winners fight at 200.
standing rear naked choke. I was prepared for 15 minutes of boredom until the real fights start but that was pretty cool.
I'm a big fan of Adriano Martins, huge win for him. at the Texas crowd booing the guy because his name is Islam.
Tumenov looked good. Jouban can't really argue with that stoppage. I wish I could watch the main event, but I'm taking my gf out to a concert. Damn it.
I have to give it to Cormier. The dude has an insane drive and is the "Cardio Cain" of the Light Heavies. He applied relentless pressure and never backed up. Even after he took that huge knee, he was right back on the attack after standing up. Gus actually had to run away multiple times just to breath. I think we'll get Cormier- Bader before Jones is back.
I guess bader sort of deserves it, but imo it's a mismatch. I see Cormier just running over the guy easily. but there is bad blood there so the fight could sell.
