Along with Kov-Ward, and Rigo-Loma, this fight becomes the 3rd most important fight that should be made in 2016. Postol is a really good fighter and we underrated him, but I feel Crawford would beat him. At which point, Crawford will establish himself as a top 5 P4P.
I like Crawford over Postol. TC is the best at 140 and I would love to see him beat the hell outta Broner but Broner won't fight him, plus the whole Arum-Haymon feud.
Impressive how broner finds his way into conversations more often than both his conquerors. And it's not like it was a fluke that he lost in either case. And in both cases, broner's conquerors also have better wins overall than broner. I guess it is natural that his name comes up given he just fought saturday. But hats off to him for eliciting such hate that people clamor to see him fight at all in the hopes he will lose again.
Here we go..... Typical fightbeat impulsive reactions to an upset. Suddenly Postol is some bad man and the guy to beat. Postol is the same fighter now as he was before that fight. Matthysse was simply overrated. The guy was handled easily by Garcia and lost to an old Zab Judah for heaven's sake!!!!!
Postol was already regarded as a top 4-5 junior welter going into last night. Only you were talking about the fight like it was an assured Matthysse victory. With the convincing win, Postol has clearly supplanted himself near the top of the division. He and Crawford is a battle to determine the best 140 pounder in the world. How that's overrating him I have no idea.
I think Sly kinda has a point. Mathysse was kinda overrated he has beaten no one besides Peterdude who isn't exactly great, either... Hell fucking Algieri boxed better for 11 rounds against Provo. Postol and Matthysse didn't look amazing in their fight. Crawford handles them with ease, imo.
People just love to see him get his ass beat. I prefer watching Broner over Porter anytime of the day, too to be honest...
Matthysse may just be overrated and his power may be overrated too. He landed some good, clean shots but Postol never seemed hurt.
