Move over Fantastic Four and Tomorrowland, there is a new king of the flops. Panned by the majority of critics with a lousy 23% rotten score Pan failed to grow up in the hearts of audiences who preferred to watch something else and the $150 million production debuted in the third place with a lower than expected $15.5 million. Meanwhile The Martian took again the #1 spot with $37 million.
Peter Pan is a dead story, and a dead franchise. Plus, Hugh Jackman isn't a mega star unless he's playing Wolverine.
Not saying he's a one-trick pony. It's not like he's unknown. He's a star. But more than being a star, he's a quality actor. But he's not a megastar like Denzel, DiCaprio, and Depp.
I don't think I've ever seen a film that had Peter Pan in it, be it a cartoon or acting film, and I never had the intention on making this my first.
Hook was a good movie. By FAR the best of any PP movies, and I'm sure light years better than this piece of shit.
Hook was mediocre to be kind (got only 30% rotten) and the absolute best version was 2003 Peter Pan...pure magic!
