I'm not suurprised you picked Floyd to win this, BUT... I won't argue with you over this. I think Floyd was pretty awesome at 140, actually. It was his second best weight outside of 130.

What I DO disagree with you on is Pac over Taylor. I think Mel would have clearly beaten Pacquiao.

  8. I don't pick Floyd comfortably over Pryor, not at all. Pryor had what it took to beat Floyd...with his good chin, ridiculous stamina, good power and perpetual motion. However I just can't forget the virtuoso Floyd who brutalized Gatti. That Floyd looked unbeatable. So Floyd by close decision.

I can't see Taylor surviving Pacquiao. not at all. Pacquiao threw as many punches as Taylor, but harder and from a southpaw stance. Pacquiao punched even harder than Chavez and threw even more punches. No way Taylor survives that.

I think there's some validity to the stereotype of Pac avoiding fast, black fighters. Pac was made to shine against Latinos with moderate quickness.

I think he'd experience big problems against MT simply because he isn't the faster of two, isn't the more skilled of the two, and whilst Taylor wasn't a big puncher, he countered sharply enough that Pac couldn't just jump in.

I think Taylor is a step ahead of Pac all night long.

So many of these could go either way. Even the ones that seem the most clear at first like Mayweather-Tszyu and Pryor-De La Hoya aren't absolute locks i think in my mind.

    Q1

    Mayweather vs Tszyu

    Q2

    Chavez vs Hatton

    Q3

    Pryor vs De La Hoya

    Q4

    Taylor vs Pacquiao

    S1

    S2

    Pacquiao vs Pryor

    Final

    Chavez vs Pryor

  11. Agreed. All are competitive. Pryor-De La Hoya is a tough one to pick actually as Oscar would have a size, height, reach and arguably power advantage.

Hatton is the odd man out here. Every guy on this in their prime would batter Hatton.

Hatton last 12 with Chavez? Old Chavez, perhaps. Prime Chavez stops Hatton in 8, tops. Brutal, one sided beating.

  15. Chavez would win, and by late stoppage, but Hatton would hold his own. And no, I'm not saying that because Hatton fought Mayweather, I'm saying it because Hatton held his own against Tszyu who was still pretty handy by the time Hatton fought him (hell ZOO was the clear favourite going in).

Hatton would hold his own against Chavez right up until Chavez warmed up. From then on, Ricky would get methodically destroyed. 8-9 rounds sounds about right.
