Once again, not nearly enough proof either way. Golovkin hasn't lost more than one round in seven years but he hasn't fought anyone in distance of seven light years from McCallum either
I actually re-considered this one. I think it'd be close. As everyone knows, I think McCallum is historically overrated, although he was a great fighter. Just not as great as his myth. Having said that, he was LEAPS AND BOUNDS better than anyone Golovkin could possibly face, unless Golov fought Ward. So, I'm not really sure. Still go with McCallum, as he's more versatile than Golov, but it would be close I think.
Not a great deal of evidence, sure, but enough to make a reasonable assessment of the situation. I think GGG gets the benefit of a close decision here.
McCallum is miles, and I mean MILES better than anyone GGG has even thought about fighting. No way of making a decision. MTF
GGG really does need some better guys on his resume. Even lemeux is not going to be anything great assuming he wins.
Oh look, another of Sly's "Pick an established black fighter and pitch him against an unknown quantity" threads.
