At Welterweight, obviously. A prime undefeated Forrest of the first Mosley fight vs the Duran of Montreal...you know...the invincible one. What transpires? Duran outworks and outhustles the Viper and wins a decision. Forrest gives him a couple things to think about along the way though with his jab, height and right hand, but ultimately Forrest is too "straight up and down with no special effects" (Copywright Mayweather) to beat Duran.
Any Duran version pre-New Orleans Leonard rematch I would take to stop Forrest in about 8 rounds. Vernon was a pretty good tall boxer who worked the distance well, and had a nice jab. Problem for him is, that he's quite basic and his offense isn't particularly dynamic. He was basically a 1-2 fighter, with the occasional left hook to the body and right uppercut. He wasn't particularly comfortable at mid range or close range, and he had problems with the strength of Quartey and Mayorga, whereas with Mosley, he was able to keep him outside with his jab and not allow him to make it a fight. Duran is a different animal. He was unpredictable and had cat like quickness. Vernon would have big problems seeing his punches coming and it would throw his rhythm off completely.
