Could the Leonard that was having his first fight in 3 years have handled the Hearns that Hagler fought?
Tommy was fresher than Ray at that point and was more suited to 160 but i still wouldn't count Leonard out. He wouldn't have approached Hearns in anything like the same way he did Hagler. Leonard was brilliant at adapting game plans for opponents and equally as good as turning it around when things weren't working out. His approach that night was meant specifically for one fighter and so were the rule changes he got in his favour. That said I still think Hearns by decision is the most logical pick.
