Firstly, you KNOW I'm a bigger Jones fan than I am a Leonard fan, but it's arguable whether or not Roy was more talented than Leonard. More athletic? Yes. More talented overall? I dunno. It's close. Jones, and Leonard are 2 of the 4 most talented fighters ever - the other two being Robinson and Duran.

One thing's for sure - 81 was Leonard at his PEAK and in 93 Roy was still not quite yet at his prime. Same with Hopkins, who was still perfecting his craft.

Hopkins and Slappy were both past prime and even if they weren't I don't think it would belong. Hopkins was green and not a "special" fighter at all when he fought Jones. If he was he might've tried to win. Chavez was past his peak against P. Not shot but certainly not half of the greatest in ring duo.

Marquez-Pac 1 is a good one. JMM is one of the most skilled fighters of this generation and Pac was a physical phenom.

 

agreed, as bad as some boxing fans are when talking about the lack of talent in the "current" generation of boxer's, some are just has bad in overrating them. Calzaghe is good, maybe even very good, but fall way short of ATG status. Pretty much shows why networks and promoters focus so much on the 0. It fools even a lot of the hardcore fans in equating it with greatness.
