I share your excitement Illuminati. Can't wait for this one! Guaranteed barn burner. GGG-Lemieux was suggestive of a great fight but there was always the possibility that GGG would dominate. With this one...no one is dominating...it's a war....a long drawn out war...both skilled and both come to fight. Very closely matched fighters on every level.

You were one of the few of who thought GGG-Lemieux would be competitive.

In the words of the late/great Manny Stew, the fight went "exactly as I expected".

But yes, Canelo-Cotto is the most excited I've been for a fight since probably Pac-Cotto, 6 years ago.

Yes I was wrong...on GGG-Lemieux. But that was my initial thought...in the week leadin gup to teh fight I changed my tune and said here that I thought GGG would win pretty easily.

But that aside. Canelo-Cotto is the best matchup for almost a decade. Pac-Cotto was always going to be a Pac knockout for me...never thought Cotto had a chance in that one.

I agree as long as you ignore about 350 other matchups that were better during this time period.

Roach now has his built in excuse when Canelo whips his ass.

"Miguel shoulda never fought with that black eye. I told him to postpone it."

It is concerning. Tapia indeed sucks. I'm very confident in my Canelo late TKO pick. Usually, as fights get closer I start having some doubts about my pick, but not here. Canelo is gonna fuck up old man Mig.

Roach says that he's heard through the grapevine that Canelo often doesn't go as hard in training as he should. Compared him to Chavez Jr in that sense.

One things for sure, the lil Ginger's gonna have to improve his tank in this one. If he's huffing and puffing late against Cotto, he's in shit.

Doesn't make me as confident either when there's a Parkinson's-ridden freak as the trainer/cornerman

An unjuiced path to better stamina is often learning to lay off the gas and relax.

Canelo cuts a lot of weight in training. I can see why he has stamina problems.

But if Cotto doesn't take advantage of those moments of respite that Canelo will surely need, he won't win.
