Very good fight, IMO. Obviously it goes the distance, with neither man seriously hurt, if hurt at all. We're talking pre-Manila Ali here...not the fat out of shape old man that struggled in the late 70s. You can choose either pre-Bowe Evander or the bulkier stronger version that beat Bowe in the rematch, stopped Moorer and stopped Tyson. I don't think it makes a difference. Ali gets a close decision win.
There would be nothing close about it. I think early 70s Ali outboxes Holy with room to spare on the cards.
Has to be Ali. Can't see Holy doing much of anything with him, to be honest. I think Ali jabs him to death, and out speeds him with little problem.
Interesting responses. I didn't expect that. I thought people would agree to a close competitive affair but with Ali clearly the winner.
Can't really see what Holy brings to the table to cause Ali much trouble. He doesn't have Frasier's pressure or Norton's reach/jab, which were the things which caused Ali bother. Holy was a fine champion but this is a bad style matchup for him IMO. MTF
