Are you going to live your life in fear? Your son could grow up to become the best criminal lawyer in the state of NY of LA...#1 a celeb of a lawyer..big drug dealers, mafia don, cartel leader, super gang leader all run to him to represent them...your son is a MILLIONAIRE...palace on the hills...trophy wife...partner at a top firm....chauffeur, in house chef, kids in private school....one day he represent Caligula from an associate of the Tijuana Cartel....little Secretariat fucks up the trial...and Caligula being a vengeance old fat drunk lady fucker.....get the TIjuana cartel to take secretariat jr. out....two days later his ambush making his way to his private jet...

For boxing any time a fighter dies it's a sad story. When the person had other options like this kid, somehow it's extra tragic. I suppose for most of us it's easier to accept if the person who died had extremely low odds of becoming a "success" in life.

One of them had the potential to accomplish so much more and didn't need boxing, and the other probably would have ended up the same boat anyway so it doesn't matter. Just a statistic.

I don't think someone has to be a total retard fuck up to consider a career in boxing but I don't have Reed's genes.

Boxers enjoy boxing. Whether they took it up because they thought it looked cool on TV or they were forced into fighting so people could throw coins at them, it's a "hobby" that they take to. There are no lazy pacifist that become boxers because they're poor.

You said you'd encourage your son to box if it was the only way he could be "special". Unless he's an Olympian that's guaranteed to go pro anyway the chances of him becoming "special" are pretty slim.

I'd only encourage my son to turn pro because I thought it was his best chance at a happy life if he was retarded or a serial killer. I shouldn't talk as much as my son bumps his head.
