I've had more free time and been binge watching TV shows and a lot of movies. I went through some of Brian De Palma's movies. I think this is his best one, although it makes Scarface look like a happy feel-good movie in comparison.

The basic storyline is that John Travolta does sound for low budget horror movies and accidentally comes across a car accident that isn't so accidental. De Palma does a great job with his camera work, starting off the movie with a great tracking shot, and there's another great long sequence midway through the movie of Travolta's room with all his equipment.

Travolta is really good in this and the suspense helps makes up for some of the weaknesses (Nancy Allen's acting, one ridiculous car chase).

    8/10

Remake of Antonioni's Blow Up from 1966...if you haven't seen that, then you really must

Yup, one of Brian DePalma's best films and probably John Travolta's second best acting role ever. That last scene was DISTURBING!

Love this movie. Very Hitchockian. The ending is classic. Ocaz actually turned me on to this movie.
