This is actually a tough one. Tall Paul's activity and volume punching would seem to give him the edge but if you don't hurt Breland he's a handful. I know the chin of accountant rep sticks to Breland but physical big bangers and guys that could catch him with counters were the guys that were able to hurt him and get out of there. Breland fought well behind that jab and his right hand was a legit weapon. Paul was easy to hit and Breland would pepper him with his jab and straight rights. Paul would be hurt and may even hit the deck but I think his workrate and ability to fight in close takes Breland out of his comfort zone and the pace would wear him out late. Breland would be game to fight but Williams would blunt Breland's offense by sticking close to him and being stronger on the inside. I think he hurts a tired Breland late and wins the championship rounds. I think Tall Paul grinds Breland down and wins a close decision but it would be tough.
Fuck it, I'll take Breland! I think if he boxed smart, and used his skills, he could sharp-shoot Williams all night.
I could see that especially with the pre-Starling version. Breland's stamina seemed to fail him in tough fights so I have a hard time seeing him holding off Paul all night. I think the pace eventully gets him. But then again he was able to keep a past prime Honeyghan at the end of his punches and eventually got him out of there. If he has that kind of night he'd have a big lead toward the end and it would be enough.
I think Breland beats the shit out of Tall Paul it's a matter of who the ref is whether it's a TKO or a wide decision. It's not a video game where Williams can widdle his health bar. When he's not hurting Breland he's getting hit solid.
Only one problem with that: Breland liked to fight. He could fight smart and win this but he could be drawn into a brawl. Tall Paul wasn't a banger but he punched hard enough to hurt Breland. And once Mark got hurt the wheels came off.
