I can't remember who, but in another thread someone pointed to the Rousey loss as being the beginning of the end for the UFC. I laughed because I knew UFC 194, possibly the most viewed UFC card in history, was coming up in early December. But it did cause me to take a closer look at the UFC's upcoming schedule. So take a look at these scheduled bouts and try to see the UFC struggling in a post Rousey world: McGregor versus Aldo Weidman versus Rockhold Romero versus Jacare Mendes versus Edgar Dos Anjos versus Cerrone Dos Santos versus Overreem Lawler versus Condit Dillashaw versus Cruz Pettis versus Alvarez That's the next 60 days and doesn't include dozens of great supporting bouts. I think Dana and the gang will be OK.
The UFC has had rough times before, where it seemed like injuries prevented all the great fight and all the PPVs were shit quality. Right now feels like a new golden age for MMA. We've seen so many outstanding fights this year, and all these great matchups are coming up in the near future. Lawler / Condit is the one I'm looking forward to the most, out of all the great championship fights coming up.
