List some particular moves/punches/combos that certain guys executed that you find awesome. A few that come to mind for me:

Tyson: The right hand to the body, right uppercut to the head. Just fucking AWESOME how well he executed that combo. Never been a guy before or after who executes that combo so beautifully.

Benitez: Feint, lead right, slip. Will loved to jab you, then faint the jab, throw a quick lead right, and dip/slip under any counters. It was gorgeous the way he executed that move over and over again against Duran and Palomino.

Roy: Lead left hook, left uppercut. NEVER seen anybody pull off that combo so amazingly. Roy loved to lull you to sleep, then leap in the with blindingly fast left hook, and immediately turn it into a left uppercut.

    Others?

    I like this thread.

Joe Louis' right hand. No one in history threw a more beautiful right hand that Louis.

Toney's shoulder roll followed by uppercut counterpunch (particularly notable in the Jirov fight) was a thing of beauty..

Agreed on the Tyson combo. I also liked his slip the jab+immediate left hook...like what he did to Carl "The Lie" Williams.

Good shout of the Roy Jones combo.

Hearns jab to the body to set up the right hand upstairs...or the jab followed by the sneaky left hook to the liver.

Of Course (no surprise) I have to mention Mayweather: Jab to the body, jab to the body...to bring the guard down...then followed by a sneaky right cross or left hook upstairs...or his doubling and tripling of the lead right hand as if it were a jab. There's also the check left hook as his opponent's come in. Love him or hate him you have to appreciate his tricks.

I personally approve of the "not punching" move by Rigondeuce. Thing of beauty.

Chavez left hook to the body followed by either straight right hand or uppercut when the opponents lowered their guard.

Arguello left uppercut to the body, overhand right to the head

The way Duran would roll the right then come in with the right uppercut to the body while staying off centre

Mayweather's block of the left hook to the body followed instantly by the right uppercut inside

There's a Duran combo he often threw that I love. He would feint the jab, throw a right hand to the body, then a double left hook up top. He did that pretty often at lightweight when his handspeed was excellent.

Prime James Toney loved to roll right hands, then come with a right uppercut to the head and a hook to the body. Loved it.

    Yup, I mentioned that.

Most ingenious & creative defense-transition-to-offense tricks..and flat out offensive trickery belong to the following:

    Mayweather
    Whitaker
    Jones
    Toney
    Hopkins

Sly, just to make you happy I'll mention this one.

Floyd's pull-counter right hand. Was a thing beauty, ESPECIALLY at 130-140 when his handspeed was at its best.

Yup, like I said, love him or hate him...a boxing fan is compelled to appreciate his talents. He used to pull some crazy shit in that ring. The Gatti fight, especially rounds 5 and 6. Now granted it was Gatti...but some of the things Floyd did in those rounds were just ridiculous. Utterly ridiculous.

I mean De La Hoya had busted up gatti too...but in his case he simply overpowered the smaller fighter (and was bloodied in the process)...but in Floyd's case, he made Gatti look like he had never put on a pair of gloves before. Ridiculous one way traffic.

    Anyway....onto others...

Pryor's duck/weave/pivot followed by right hand and left hook. I would have hated to fight that guy.
Tyson's left to the body, right to the body, left to the head combination (I believe he finished Bruno with that one...and it's what lead to the premature Ruddock stoppage as well).
Juan Manuel Marquez Parry followed by counter jab or counter lead right. Fabulous fighter.

    Brilliant!

Just the way Lomachenko turns the guy constantly and then immediately fires combinations when the guy is out of position. Calzaghe used to do the same thing by the way.

Great shout, thats a very old school trick - the Commies seem to reviving deft moves from the 40s and 50s

Another: Golovkin's habit of switching stances mid combination to get extra length & power on shots vs a retreating opponent. For instance if he throws a 1-2 and his opponent backs up, instead of shuffle stepping forward and trying to keep distance with a weak jab he'll switch his feet & follow right through on a southpaw cross then right hook.

Prime Hector Camacho, when he was actually offensive minded, had a beautiful combo. Jab, straight left, right hook to the body, then double right hook upstairs. And he executed that entire combo in the blink of an eye.

Loved castillo's feint with the overhand right but throw the left uppercut. Think he borrowed from Duran or Chavez. This might have helped him beat pbf which was his career defining performance.

To Castillo's credit, I think that move was pretty unique to him.

As Hut mention, what Duran loved to throw was the right uppercut to the body.

What was Morales' signature again? It was something pretty similar.....maybe the reverse - feint left uppercut, come over with the right?

Terry Norris threw a number of beautiful combos, but the one that comes to mind is the right hand, DOUBLE left uppercut. I don't recall toooooo many guys in history who threw a double left uppercut as well as Norris.

I would make the case that Arguello threw the most beautiful right hand in history. Check out the Rooney fight. His right hand was artwork.

I loved YOUNG Mosley's combination of the overhand right, double left hook to the body, left hook up top. As he got older, he didn't punish the body as much.

REED Looooooooooooooooooved When Roy Jones WIDENED his Stance & Spread his Arms, "Karate" Style...9 Times Out of 10, the Opponent Would ENGAGE & Get CLUBBED Upside the Head with a Chopping Left (Because the Left was Held Soooooo Faaaaar Out and Wide, the Opponent Virtually IGNORED It)...

This Move BEGAN the Demise of Antoine Byrd...vs. Reggie Johnson, Roy Clubbed him w/the Left and Launched a Right Hand Down the Middle, Depositing Johnson on the Canvas, Which was Perhaps THE Fastest Combination EVER Thrown...

Roy Jones had every trick in the book. He was so naturally gifted, athletically, that he could just invent stuff on the fly....that no other fighter could do.
