The Duran at 160 barely beat Barkley, if even deserving at all. I think Trinidad would beat him there, and I also wouldn't rule out 154, either.

P4P, I won't question that Duran beats - or even stops - Trinidad. But your post is a bit extreme.

P4p, Duran probably decisions Tito or stops him late. At 147 I think Tito takes him out late or wins a decision. At 154 it's face palming beat down for Tito.

Montreal Duran beats Tito at 147. 154 I favor Tito.

The thread question was P4P, which is a no contest. 135 Duran was a different league fighter than any version of Tito.

    Has to be Duran.

I think Tito beats him at 154 lbs, though.

Wow. X complaining in this thread that Tito is massively overrated. How things have changed since 2007.

I didn't look at the earlier posts, but not surprised I said it. Tito's either massively OVERRATED by people or he's massively UNDERRATED by people. There's rarely an in-between. I'm one of the few who tries to do neither and keep it objective about him.

I think he was a great fighter. I also think Leonard, Hearns, Benitez, and Duran on their best days would have beaten him.

He would have laid an epic ass whuppin on Ginger bitch though.

What monster punchers has Duran faced? Hearns...and we know what happened there. I'm inclined to pick Duran over Tito at 147lbs, but Tito could crack and he was naturally bigger than Duran and taller and rangier. Just because Duran was Duran doesn't mean he whups Tito at 147lbs. He beat Leonard, sure, but Norton beat Ali and fell to Foreman.

Tito is a dangerous fight for Duran. I'm not doubting that. But at 147 Duran has more of an edge.

At 154 it's different. Tito, like Hearns, was more effective at junior middle than welter. And Duran was better at 147 than 154.

I'm not gonna pretend that Davey Moore was on the level of Tito, so I'd make Felix the betting favorite at 154.

The thread question however is P4P, which isn't much of a question. Lightweight Duran is one of the five best fighters that ever lived. Tito's one of the five best RICAN fighters that ever lived.

I agree that Duran beats him P4P. Duran is clearly a better lightweight than Tito was a Welterweight.
