This sounds like an intresting matchup at 175 ...
Especially since Hopkins doesn't have a devistating punch and Patterson didn't have the glass jaw at 175 like he did at Heavyweight ...
This would probably go the distance ...

    Who wins ??

Gotta go with Patterson in this one. Floyd was lightening fast at Heavyweight so at 175lbs you must assume he'd be that much faster. Hopkins didn't have a killer punch at 160 let alone 175 and so you have to assume that Floyd would take the punches....as well as having a significant power advantage.

I think Hopkins is unknockoutable for the most part and so even though I'm tempted to say Floyd KOs him, I can't base it on anything....plus Bernard is exceedingly smart and so he'd find a way to avoid serious punishment.

Floyd by clear decision in a reasonably competitive fight.

Hopkins is a better light heavy today, than Floyd was in his prime. Hopkins on points.

Bullshit. He lost to Maxim because Maxim was just as fast as he was - and it was a disputed decision. Patterson has a HUGE advantage in speed, power and punch output.

The only way Hopkins goes the distance is if he doesn't try to win.

    Lmao at Sly's prediction.

Patterson would blast Hopkins out. He'd walk right through Hopkins and destroy him.

In a Mythical Matchup: Kovalev would destroy a 49 year old Hopkins too. Didn't exactly happen that way did it? Besides how come you didn't comment on the guy in this thread that actually picked Hopkins to win?
