JT is a superior fighter but i'm not sure how well he handles Ward's style. I think it's a pretty close decision either way.
I think Ward is the better fighter and also wins here, even though he is sometimes nearly unwatchable
Ward Better Employ Jab and Move Tactics, Because REED Thinks Toney Would Get the BETTER of Any Infighting that Occurs...Ward WOULDN'T Be Able to Smother, Hold and Maul James Toney... REED:nono:
I lean toward TOney. Ward likes the inside game, and while he might win rounds doing this, Toney will land his share of leather. Eventually, even if Toney is not a huge puncher, he land something that change the dynamic of the fight.
agREEDJUSOFMONTREAL While I can see reasons for picking Ward I think maybe people are remembering Toney as a stationary shoulder rolling counter puncher. Somebody who can only be effective against attacking fighters. He was much more versatile than that in his younger years and Ward is not going to be moving around on the outside peppering him with jabs like he's Larry Holmes.
