Fury is only the "kingpin" because he beat an aging lineal champ that fought a terrible fight. Leon Spinks did that too...and the division wasn't "terrible" in '78.

Fury is not the best fighter in the division.

oh get the fuck outta here

Like there's any fucking analogy between the Ali that Leon Spinks outhustled and the wald pussy that Fury decisioned tepidly by pretending he knew how to fight against the most shameless vagina in history

Fury can't fight, he's fucking horrible... He acted like a drunk guy aping tough gestures at a bemused bouncer for 12 rounds and wald pussy was terrified

People actually think the division got better overnight?? More exciting with Wald out of the way yes, but it's not like everyone actually got way fucking better, just because everyone is suddenly a legit contender to the belts.

Here is the exciting part. It's kind of like the elections before they start trimming down the field. It's not that the the division got better. It's that it's open now.

Instead of waiting for Wlad to have a boring win agains the king of the rest of the division every four months, there are several guys now who may or may not rule the division in the near future.

And here on fightbeat people are lining up behind theur guy. You have a few Fury fans, a few Wilder fans, some Joshua fans, Parker fans, Ortiz fans, and a couple of people who think Wlad can still come back and do the business here.

    My point is....

Fury is NOT the best fighter in the division....just like Spinks wasn't. That point went waaaay over your head. I wasn't comparing wald to Ali.

I never said Fury has good power. And youre overreacting with this cunningham kd. Getting kd by limited opposition when youre an upcoming fighter is no big deal. Happened even to the best of them

TO beat Fury, Frazier will have to get inside (well, Frazier always have to get inside to win fight). The thing is, Fury is big and strong enough to clinch him on the inside, and if he puts his weight on him, it will sap a lot of Frazier stamina. I'm not saying it's a sureshot that Fury wins (Not even sure I'd pick him), but if you don't think he at least has a shot, you are severly underestimating the difficulty of fighting a strong and agile 6-9 guy

Guys, Barry Hearn doesn't manage Kell Brook. Eddie Hearn does.

    How ironic that in a thread where people claim that the K-bro fans liked to amalgamate the success of both men {Whilst having done the exact same with the failures of both men all their careers} they then turn around and confuse Barry Hearn {who did manage Eubank} with Eddie Hearn {who is half his age and manages Brook}

If Fury did beat Frazier, he would do it in a way that wouldn't be aesthetically pleasing and thus it wouldn't count

The only way Furry "beats" Joe Frazier is by immediately hugging him and falling over in such a way that Frazier dislocates his shoulder and can't continue... He's certainly not beating him in a contest involving the throwing of punches

Height and reach difference is extraordinary. Just based on physics alone this is a very tough fight for Frazier....especially if Fury fights tall.

He should win but..............it's the easiest route to a title in years and will prove very little.

ironically, it being for a title actually taints rather than adds prestige to what would otherwise be a f'n fantastic match up of unbeaten prospects.

You have a great point and two years ago I would have agreed completely. However, by now the titles mean so little that I don't think it matters at all. Nobody sees it as any type of title fight

I don't understand this. Unfortunately it does matter...in almost every discernable sense. History is written on the back of the ignorance of the thick masses mate, don't kid yourself.

That was corrected several days ago. Pay attention!

The point was at the time that EDDIE (the son of Barry) Hearn was using the some tactics with Joshua-Martin (at first) as he was with Brook-Khan. Someone else brought up the way Barry Hearn managed Eubank which wasn't relevant to the original point.
