You Say that Like this ISN'T a Credible Fight???:scratcher:...REED Ain't Picking Diaz Either, but this WOULDN'T Be a Rousey-Holm Level Upset, or Even Close, if Conor Loses...

& For the Record, REED WANTS McGregor to Win...

The Question Is, What Weight Will McGregor Come in @???...Preparing to Fight @ '55, Surely he's Not Gonna Now Attempt to MATCH or MEET Diaz (Literally) @ '70???...

I don't think he'll gain more weight on purpose. He probably just stopped cutting weight when he signed for the fight. Nate is naturally lean and strong (for Nate) at 170. He has the disadvantage of not having a training camp for this fight, but he has the advantage of not having to cut to lightweight this time.

I hope Nate stopped smoking pot soon enough to pass the drug test.

Diaz is 5-5 over his last 10 fights. He's been an average to good fighter for the past few years. Conor has been on a tear since he arrived in the UFC and just KO'd a fighter many considered the best P4P in 13 seconds.

Of course anything can happen in MMA, but let's call this what it is, a squash match. Conor is King Kong Bundy and Nate is SD Jones.

REED Hopes You're Right, but he Thinks You're OVERLOOKING the SIZE Here (Despite the Underrated WWF Reference)...Beating the Brakes Off of Aldo and Mendes Will Have NO Bearing on a Fight w/a 170lb'der, in REED's Opinion...

An Average BIGGER Man Isn't an Automatic Win for a Great SMALLER Man...

Agreed with Reed. And correct me if im wrong, but i think this will be the first fight in which connor doesnt have a huge size advantage. In fact, hell be the smaller man. At the very least, it will be interesting to see how he copes with that

Conor would be FAT at 170 lbs

it all depends on how Diaz subpar performance vs Thompson and Henderson were due to weight drain. If it's not a case of him being exposed, it could be interesting considering he looks much bigger than McGregor. At 155, the fight wouldn't interest me, even at a catchweight. But at 170, it should be interesting, at the very least, we'll see how Connor react to a bigger opponent. BTW, I've said it many time that I'm no McGregor fan but once again, I've got to credit him for not making Diaz drain himself at 155 for the opportunity to fight him (and he would have accept for the $$$). If more boxers had that mindset instead of being divas like Ward of PBF itching for every advantage, the sport would be a lot better.

I'll admit, I'm probably not taking the two division weight jump as seriously as I should be, but I just don't think Diaz is that good of a fighter. Never have.

Gotta wonder though, if Conor beats Diaz in convincing fashion, does he abandon the quest for the title at 155 and demand a shot at Lawler instead?

Nate Diaz is a dangerous fight for almost anyone. He's vulnerable to strong wrestlers like Rory MacDonald and Benson Henderson, but he usually does well against strikers.

I expect Conor to win a close fight. I doubt it will be a blowout like his last few fights. I wouldn't be surprised if Nate finds a way to win. It would be impressive if Conor stops him like he says he will.

McGregor / Lawler seems ridiculous with the size difference, but Conor believes he can do it. He's been right with his predictions so far.

What do you guys expect McGregor to come in at on weigh in night and fight night? Can't imagine his weight will change that much. Must be a good thing for him moving up as he looked ill making weight in the past.

Holm is cuter but Miesha has bigger boobs.

Holly and Miesha are both cute, but neither one is stunning the way Ronda used to be. Ronda seemed like a 10/10 for me when she first became a star.

I know it's a big fight. I'm just not excited about women's MMA as much as I am for McGregor / Diaz.

They are both way more attractive than Ronda.

I don't think Ronda is attractive at all right now. She looks like Mama June from Honey Boo Boo.

If I had to pick, I'd say Miesha is hotter but Holly is more fun to watch as a fighter.

Damn the UFC for spoiling almost every cards with bitch fights. Thankfully, once Ronda retires (which should be soon by seeing how much of a train wreck she has became), I'm pretty sure this fad won't last for more than a year or two.

lol, yeah, how exciting, he took a punch at his (super extended, nowhere near his face) hand. Oh the drama. It's starting to get to the point of the WWE

You guys are on dope. Miesha is straight up hot. Holm, is at her very best, plain and friendly looking. At her worst, she is handsome.

Anyone who thinks that Nate is an easy fight for Conor doesnt know MMA. Besides the Thompson KO, Diaz has been squashed by no one. He had a good fight with RDA and beat the crap out of Cerrone. Not to mention the wins over Johnson and Miller. He tends to have problems with good wrestlers, but Conor is no wrestler.

I bet you Nate submits him.

mikE and I agree. I rarely see a bad picture of Tate. I've seen Holm look as bad as a daytime hooker.

I am thinking about betting Nate given the odds. They haven't changed much. People either love or hate the Diaz brothers but neither of them are pushovers. They are both difficult as shit to finish. I am hoping this fight turns into a good brawl.

That being said, I disagree about the RDA fight. Nate was dominated. I think there was even a 10-8 round. It wasn't a good fight.

My main interest in Diaz-McGregor is to see McGregor face a guy that has AND uses his height and reach advantage. It's the first time in Conor's career that he will be at a disadvantage in those areas. For a fight that will likely remain a kickboxing match, those are pretty important things.

Nate is also a guy that feeds off momentum. If he has success early, he could be a nightmare.

It is the first time. Holloway and McDuffy had height advantages and were close in the reach department. McDuffy submitted him and Max was easily McGregor's toughest fight in the UFC.

I think height and reach are going to be more important than people are thinking. McGregor can negate it with leg and body kicks but kicking Nate in that ugly cranium is going to be a task,

It's just Duffy, and Mendes was a tougher fight than Max.

I've seen more of Diaz now. Not going to be easy for McGregor. I can see Diaz timing him early with that long straight left.
