    Tim Robbins is absolutely underrated.

Robbins can play any role well. Serious roles as the leading man/good guy (Shawshank), he can play a great villain (Arlington Road), and he's good in comedies as well.

HaHa! Forgot some of those people were even in it. They got some great actors for that show, even though I lost complete interest in it the last couple seasons. I almost listed Michael K. Williams to, cause I've been watching "Hap & Leonard" lately.

Oh shit, just thought of Ed fucking Harris.

Guy has been nothing but a top notch professional actor for decades, and barely ever gets mentioned.

As a matter of fact, go back and watch "The Right Stuff", and that film is just filled with guys like him who have been nothing but solid for a very long period of time. At this point, I'd even say Dennis Quaid has become very under-rated.

Yeah, I hear ya'. The attention to detail is astounding and there's some great single episodes, but there's something about it that's just a little bit too "try hard". Too many pieces they're trying to fit together.

Cannavale's chewing up the scenery on "Vinyl" right now.

Excellent actor who goes a little Nic Cage over the top sometimes, but I've seen him in lots of low-key stuff to, so he's very capable either way.

Samuel Jackson is a great call, can do any genre, the reason he gets little consideration is that he's the epitome of a jobbing actor, he's always working regardless of the quality of the film

I think most people rate Caan fairly highly. I liked him in Misery

Yeah, he's pretty damn good when he's on his game. Stole every scene in "Trainspotting" that he was in, and nearly saved the sequel to "28 Days Later", all on his own.
