1. Paul Walker: I gotta put him at #1. Since this reckless clown died, everybody has been saying "Ohhh, what could have been..." Whadya mean what would have been? He was a fuckin GARBAGE actor! It's not like when Heath Ledger died, when we REALLY WERE robbed of a great actor who was just coming into his prime. Walker had no acting talent. Got to the big screen purely off being a pretty boy. 2. Will Smith: Fuck him! I hate when ppl act like just because you're black that you have to pretend EVERY black actor is elite. Will Smith is a highly mediocre actor who's hailed as a great one. 3. Matt Damon: I dunno, Matt Damon just doesn't do it for me. He's a better actor than the two guys above him on this list, but somethings missing. He's a good actor, but he's hailed as a great one, and I don't see him as a great actor. Off the top of my head, I think he was quality in Good Will Hunting, The Talented Mr. Ripley, The Good Shepherd, and The Departed. Not a bad actor by any means, but I've never seen him as elite. For instance, replace Leo with Matt Damon in The Aviator, The Wolf of Wall Street, and The Revenant, and those movies go down... by A LOT!! Others?
No one rates Walker or Smith highly so I wouldn't include them. That's like saying Keanu Reeves is overrated. Sidney Poitier now THAT is one overrated actor. He was terrible !!!!!
I think Tom Hanks is overrated, personally. He got back to back oscars for playing a queer and a retard. Hollywood simple likes that shit. I don't find him particularly strong.
1. Walker: People who KNOW movies don't rate Walker. The MAINSTREAM thinks he's a great actor, since the speeding idiot died. But even movie buffs kiss Will Smith's ass too much. Will annoys the shit outta me. I think he over-acts. Poitier we can totally agree on. One of the most wooden actors who ever lived. I feel like us blacks were just glad to see Sidney on screen as a leading man and wanted to believe he had talent. Til Denzel came along, then were like "Sidney is SHIT! THIS is what real talent is!"
I would agree. Although, he deserved the Gump Oscar. Retard or not, Gump's one of the most famous and iconic characters in film history, so Hanks deserves credit for that. Philadelphia? Hell no! Denzel totally out-acted him.
Yeah, I hear you on Will Smith. I can't stand the motherfucker sometimes. I am Legend is a perfect example of his overacting. He was particularly annoying in that film ( although I enjoyed the film)
1. Clooney is rated correctly. Nobody considers Clooney some great actor, but he's good/solid. He's definitely better now than he was in the 90s. 2. Bullshit. Leo is a great actor. 3. Agreed.
Bradley Cooper. Solid actor but not great, the Oscars gave him a nomination for American Sniper yet they snubed Jake Glyennhaal for Nightcrawler.
I think we have yet to see the best of Cooper. Thus far, his best performance has been Silver Linings Playbook - which he was really good in. But yeah, Glyennhaal got fucked. Jake belongs on the underrated list.
I don't think anyone rates him highly as an actor. He's another example of a great movie star that's not necessarily a top actor.
Just for the nick of his cockney accent in the prestige christian bale deserves a mention. Dewd grew up in South england clive Owen and Ewan mcgregor are awful
Brad Pitt makes both lists. He is much bigger a star than he has actual acting skills for. He isn't the actor Leo or Depp are. However, some still see him as nothing but a pretty boy gone old, which isn't true either. He is several levels above the likes of Orlando Bloom
how many Oscar noms has Clooney had? Definitely overrated. I think Clive Owen is underrated, actually.
