Rest assured Sly will pick Castillo in order to fit his agenda, but prime Camacho would school Castillo. Way too fast, and Castillo too slow and methodical. If we're talking the 85 Camacho, I think he beats Castillo about 9-3.

Camacho is not schooling a fighter as good as castillo in a thousand tries. At best, he might win a close contentious decision, but i think that castillo size and pressure would carry him to victory

Camacho wins a close decision, running away as always but landing enough eye-catching rapid 1-2s to win rounds

Was Castillo really soooo much better than JL Ramirez?

    He schooled Ramirez.

Don't fool yourself into thinking Castillo was so many levels better than Ramirez.

I don't think he was better at all, really but styles make fights and weighing 150 pounds in the ring makes a fight

I think Camacho would have been too fast.

I don't have an agenda to make Floyd or Bernard look better, regardless of how many times you say it.

As for this matchup, it's a close decision that could go either way.

camacho would hug him like a bitch and probably win in yet another of his embarrassing performances in which the judges and ref somehow look the other way.

While i think he was better than Ramirez (even though i think that stylewise he might lose to ramirez), exactly this. The way that jlc dealt with a way better runner than camacho in pbf (yeah obf was fighting like a runner against him), makes the probability of him getting schooled by camacho pretty much null

I don't think Camacho and Mayweather had much of anything in common other than being quick-handed... Totally different styles, especially defensively, never mind that one was a southpaw

Agreed that they don't have much in common stylewise, but the way JLC was able to close the distance on PBF makes me think he would be able to do the same against a far inferior fighter in camacho
