HBO did their job well. They set up Canelo in the perfect fight to score a highlight real KO to fool the maintstream into thinking he might beat Golov. He won't.

It won't be a wipeout. I mean, he is the best opponent of Golov's career. He's better than LeMoo, Macklin, Geale, ect.

However, he'll get methodically broken down and stopped.

Even if Canelo isn't stopped, I see him taking a brutal beating, regardless.

Canelo needs to either campaign at 154 LBS. and cut this catch-weight shit or man up and face Triple G.

This 155 crap is biting Canelo in the ass in the firm of pressure to get in the ring with Triple G.

I'll take Canelo over Borat and I'll be accepting bets so start collecting cans now...

I'm not impressed with Borat's resume. If Canelo fought that shit list it would be all KOs by now.

Canelo will wait until GGG moves up to 168, then he'll challenge him for his newly captured 156lb title.

Before he retires he'll have titles in 10 different weight divisions that he made up in his own mind.

I mean, I understand his mindset. When I was 10 years old, I painstakingly kept track of my stats until I passed out Roger Maris for the single season record for Home Runs...............in kickball.

.....and yes, a Home Run against a team of Kindergartners, counted just as much as a Home Run against the 5th Graders. :scared2:

We'll talk when the fight is made.

I'm not impressed with wins over Dominic Wade and Marco Antonio Rubio. You might be. I'm not.

GGG will win but it'll be a distance fight. No way does Canelo get stopped. That cute faced little freckley redhead is tough as nails and too smart to be stopped. Distance fight 10 times outta 10 and Ginger usually gets the benefit of close decisions so if it is close anything can happen.

GGG stops him late and it will end up being a beatdown in the final few rounds. I do think it'll be competitive early on though. Calig, happy to take that bet with you if it's made. Resumes are important but never tell the full story, boxing is never as black and white as that and I think posters here place too much emphasis on them.

I think if this fight happens we can expect some underhand shakedown stuff. No way this outsider is going to be permitted to beat up a Mexican cash cow in Nevada.

I'm wrong about fights about as often as Xplosive is right. Though I did pick Quitsko over Fury but so did about everybody here.

    Borat ain't shit.

If Canelo has the balls...this fight happens in SEPTEMBER....but ONCE again fucking FLOYD Mayweather...will steal that month...against some bum ass motherfuckera like Broner or that MMA funny sounding bum......and for some motherfucking reason the big money fighter(Floyd/Pac/Cotto/Canelo) only seem to want to fight in May and September....every other month is sacrilegious...

So at the earliest Canelo vs. GGG won't happen till May 2017.....and unless GGG goes into a downward spiral in the next few months...he will KO Canelo in round 8

I wonder how good GGG stamina will be in a fight where hes not in complete control. If i recall correctly he was spent in the ouma fight (that was ages ago though), and he looked like he was winding a bit against Lemieux.

People are really fooled cause this Ginger clown knocked AMIR KHAN cold! Amir fuckin Khan!

We ALL KNOW damn well that Khan wouldn't have lasted 1 round with Golov.

No, seriously, I'm confident Golov-Khan would have ended in a KO 1.

I nailed it on the head. I said Canelo KO 6 in the prediction thread.

Not to sound like the late/great Manny, but.... it went EXACTLY AS I EXPECTED.

Canelo is a plodding sonuvabitch. I knew it would take him 4-5 rounds to catch out to the brainless box bot.

Golov is different. He woulda cut Khan off immediately, landed on him very quickly, and it woulda been goodnight.

Ask yourselves this... would fragile ass Miggy have gone the distance with Golov? I think EVERYBODY knows the answer to that question is no.

Jesus Christ that Ginger is overrated!

no one is basing their opinion on the Amir Khan fight, come on give everyone some credit. It's based on the fact that Canelo has never tasted canvas and aside from whe he was a teenager, has never been even remotely hurt. Secondly, he's an intelligent fighter with good balance and decent hand speed. He's much better than anyone GGG has fought to date and so it's ludicrous to suggest that GGG would just blow through him.

Golovkin would have stopped Cotto and would have destroyed Khan in minutes. No doubt. That doesn't mean he walks through Ginger. Again, and I get tired of having to explain this over and over again to supposed clever boxing fans, Ali struggled with Frazier and Norton and Foreman blew them away with ease. But did Fireman blow away Ali? No. Why? Ali was tougher than both Frazier and Norton so you're not going to just knock him out. He struggled with them more than foreman did because he didn't have foreman a style or power. This is boxing 101, I should have to have to explain this every day.

I never said he walks through Canelo. Canelo is a lot more talented and durable than a Macklin or Geale, so obviously he's gonna last longer and put up a better fight.

Having said that, he's simply not as good as Golovkin and will take a beating. We're talking about two offensive fighters here, and Golovkin is the better one.

Golov TKO 9-10 sounds about right.

Canelo will give a good account of himself.... he'll just be outclassed.

Even outclassed is far too strong a word considering the styles and abilities. It'll be competitive but with GGG always a step ahead. No way this would be an outclassing. Canelo is no scrub.

Translation: ONLY Floyd can outclass Canelo...

Fuck outta here! Golovkin is a considerably better fighter than Canelo and will OUTCLASS him after the middle rounds.

This is not about Mayweather. Floyd outclassed him because of styles. Canelo fights at a measured pace and that's floyds game and Mayweather is elusive as fuck. You ever heard of a "styles mismatch" motherfucker?

Golovkin vs Canelo is a different styles clash.

I think ANYBODY picking Ginger is banking on a scenario where Golov turns old in there. Has to be. Either that, or a casual fan who's picking Canelo cause he's a bigger star.

Both at their bests, anybody who's not Mexican or a teeny bopper can see that Golovkin is a higher quality fighter.
