I saw the undercard and it looks like some undefeated guys in "tests" against guys with nice records that I don't really know. I can see Kellerman describing some real star making performances.
Looks like I'm going to give this one a miss. It's a shame too. Good fight but no way is it PPV worthy.
Yeah I didn't mind missing Canelo-Khan but this is a shame. I think it's more about HBO testing out Crawford as a PPV commodity than just trying to grab some cash but I don't see the selling angle. Crawford is just a black guy with no real defining wins other than Gamboa you was inactive and not a big star coming in and Postol is coming off a big win but he's still sort of a non descript Euro.
It just seems to be the trend these days. PPV used to only be reserved for elite events. Now they seem to think anything qualifies to be PPV worthy these days.
Is this HBO or the Promoters trying to make fighter with a little HYPE into PPV entities? Crawford has 10 fans....
My guess is hbo didn't put enough money in the pot to cover both these guys purses and arum had to go the independent ppv route to accommodate them
