Marvis beat better heavyweights than that tub of shit ... Etienne has a overrated puncher's chance but his chin was worse and his ability was garbage
I think we should ask Mike Tyson. He has about a combined 60 seconds of ring experience against both.
Styles do favor Etienne. He actually had pretty quick fists and some power, he simply had zero resistance. Marvis was the better-schooled fighter but he didn't have any punch. Could go ether way
A little bit. If you can't blast him out Etienne could win some rounds with his activity. This would be a fun little fight with no stakes at all. It's a coin toss.
I never laughed so hard watching Etienne during that fight against Oquendo. Every time Oquendo threw a loopy overhand right that touched the top of Etiennes head, he Put him on queer street. Almost like he had an on/off button on the top of his head. Lol
yeah. what's weird though is prior to that he had gone to war with lamon brewster and seemed durable enough. and brewster could punch a little.
For what it's worth, I think Etienne wins the battle of bums. Frazier did beat Joe Bugner from my recollection but Bugner was already past it at the time. It can go either way because both are UB (utter-bums) but I'd pick Etienne to not lose.
Marvis beat Bonecrusher Smith, who is a much more dangerous opponent than Etienne, along with Quick Tillis, James Broad, and Nino Ribalta, who are all at least as good as Etienne. He got off the floor to beat Bonecrusher. He's better than Etienne.
I'd take Marvis by virtue of getting blown out by a young Tyson. Ettiene got blown out by a 100 year old Tyson who was suffering from a broken back.... spinal.
Agreed (though I think you're a bit hard on either). Etienne major flaw was his chin. But for a hw, he had a tremendous workrate and I don't see Marvis cracking that chin.
