Wow, that's a name i totally forgot about. Wasn't he the highly thought of prospect who turned total bust? I don't remember a whole lot about his style but i'd have to imagine Broner would be able to beat him if some other gate keeper types did.
This question is ridiculous. Obviously Broner! Mismatch. Williams proved NOTHING and got exposed by a journeyman in Juan Valenzuela. AB isn't an elite fighter, but he's at least world class. Williams wasn't even that. Williams' only attribute was that he had pretty good handspeed. The pop wasn't there, he was very hittable, and his stamina was horrible. Broner destroys him.
williams first loss was to valenzuela in a close war in which he traded bravely. valenzuela was very different than broner. i think this would be a veru good fight and i see williams winning.
Exactly. Broner ain't no P4Pder, but he's at least good enough that journeymen/bums won't beat him. Williams couldn't even get past journeymen. He'd lose to several of Broner's victims, let alone Broner.
Ya damn right Valenzuela was different from Broner. Broner's 10x better. I distinctly remember Williams being a guy who was only sharp for 4-5 rounds. Broner, if nothing else has always shown solid stamina. So, even if it's competitive for 5 rounds, after that Williams is gassed and Broner takes over from there.
