Lomachenko is fucking amazing. My favourite boxer right now by some distance. I hope the Salido rematch happens, Loma wins IMO but I have a weird respect for Salido despite him being a cheating bastard in the first fight.

Loma has the best footwork in the game. No question.

I would have loved to have watched Tszyu-Judah at a fight party with Kellerman there. At the time he was hailing Judah as god's gift to boxing. A guy who does everything perfectly. I actually thought about the look on that dude's face when Judah was doing his chicken dance.

    Hang on.

Is this the same Rocky Martinez that lost to Ricky Burns like 10 years ago :dunno:

Kellerman is a fucking putz. He never saw a black southpaw whose unborn kids he couldn't carry. Everybody knew Judah was wide open to a right hand and had fought utter dirge up to the point he took on Tszyu.

Right before they met, they shared a card and Tszyu fought a tough, accomplished guy called Oktay Urkal, and Judah fought some Danish pastry.

Awesome Performance by Lomachenko...REED Became a FAN Last Night...

Though Sloppy and Limited, Martinez is an Accomplished, World Class Fighter...Nonetheless, Lomachenko Made Him Look Like a Straight Up SCRUB...

Welp, Walters DEFINITELY ain't gonna fight him now!

Really no one good enough to threaten Loma between 130-135.

Watch Kellerman at the end of this clip. I think he comes on with about two minutes left. What a fucking studio groupie!

Loma is VERY GOOD...his footwork/distance/placement of his punches are all PERFECT...he doesn't just throw a punch to throw it....the defense ain't bad either...he keeps that left hand GLUE to his chin.

and Like I said before...Felix Verdejo needs to leave the ISLAND...thousands are doing it every day...why not you PENDEJO....someone is IN that boy ear and lying to him and telling him he's a PUNCHER...no motherfucker you are NOT Felix TRINIDAD....you never will be...

I said before that Verdejo reminds me of a more athletic Jermain Taylor.....my opinion hasn't changed...hes too stiff..he has to fight tall be a BOXER/Puncher...jab..right hand.

What I saw in the fight last night...is a kid that thinks he's a PUNCHER...he had a PUNCHING bag infront of him hit him with everything and the dude didnt go nite nite....

STOP listening to Trinidad....mofo never left the island or his daddy....go talk to Cotto(yeah he might try to stick it in, but it's a risk worth taking).....leave the island..and train with Roach, Hunter, or with the best trainer in boxing IMO Nacho Beristain....

Either that, or relocate the training headquarters to somewhere else on the island. That said, it's clear he's not gonna be Trinidad or even Cotto. He's not a puncher. As you said, he's a tall athletic boxer in the mold of a Jermain Taylor, but with better fundamentals.

His performance I don't think was "bad", but I didn't like that finishing effort... SLOPPY SLOPPY SLOPPY... He was fortunate the guy didn't have the skill to time him with a counter punch. And it could be a sign of things to come if he doesn't correct that.

At the very least, another voice in camp would do well.

He doesn't fight like a puncher and he's not more athletic than Taylor. More skilled though.

Taylor might be athletically superior if we're talking basketball, but as a fistfighter? Not a fucking chance

    Not more athletic than Taylor??

    LMFAOOOOOOO!!!

To this day, I'm still tryna figure out why in the HELL people considered Jermain Taylor athletic. As REED said, Taylor had zero fluidity and was stiff as a board.

Loma is very skilled, but don't get it twisted, MOST of the things he's able to do are because of his natural gifts.

He's FAR more fluid and athletic than Jermain fuckin Taylor.

HBO once ran a clip of Taylor playing basketball. He's worse as a baller than he is as a boxer, sad as that sounds.

Ohhhhhhh, well that's a different story.

I think we're starting to discover that Verd won't live up to the hype. He knew from the JUMP he wasn't gonna be Trinidad good.

But now it looks like he ain't Cotto good either.

Cotto at 23 was A LOT better than Verd at 23.

Yeah it seems true. He's just not as talented as his predecessors.

Doesn't mean he can't achieve in the wasteland that is 135 pounds right now.

He can be a good fighter, but probably won't be great.

If he turns out to be a bum, then yeah.

But I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. He has talent after all.

He should be fighting for a title this year and fight Loma when he goes up in weight. That will be a big pay day for Verdejo regardless of the outcome. I am afraid that if he keeps waiting, one day some Mexican bum will starch him and shatter all his dreams.

    Agreed.

If by 2017 he is not ready, then he's not the real deal, I'm afraid.

I was talking about Verdejo but you and Reed need to learn the difference between skills, athleticism and looking dynamic. You seem to think people with athletic talent are born doing double crossovers and no look passes, and picture perfect pivots.

If a guy has skills and timing he can look more dynamic and look more athletic than he really is. If Loma was that pure a talent he wouldn't have lost to Salido, even on an off night. If Hopkins really had under rated athleticism he wouldn't have struggled with Taylor solely because he was so much more naturally talented.

Taylor had the talent to do everything Loma does he just didn't know how and never bothered to try and if Loma had Taylor's skills he'd look stiff and awkward but athletic like Taylor but be less effective because he's not as strong.
