    This is laughable.

Ward's resume shits on Kovalev's. Ward would be borderline, Kovalev would have a long ass way to go.

Joey Calz, Carlos Palomimo, Ray Mancini, Brian Mitchell, Barry McGugian, and mother fucking ARTURO GATTI are in the HOF!!

I DARE you to tell how those guys are more deserving than Kov should he legitimately beat Ward.

If Kov beats Ward, he makes the HOF.

Considering the SUB-PAR Standards for Entry into Boxing's Hall of Fame, Ward is ALREADY a Hall of Famer, in REED's Opinion...The Super 6 ALONE Gets him to Canastota...

And a WIN Over Ward Would Get Kovalev Into Canastota...

REED Can See Both Sides of It...

The LIVE GATE Would Probably Be Better in Oakland, but a Vegas SITE FEE Shits On Anything Oracle Arena Could Muster...Would You Rather Fight in a SPARSE Crowd of 3,000-5,000 in Vegas OR in Front of 8,000-10,000 in Oakland???...That's What it Boils Down To...

That Being Said, it's SHITTY of Ward to No Show the Presser...

REED Just Read on the Forbes Site that Ward Got $850,000 Grand and Brand Only Got $30 Grand....Surely, $30 Grand was a MISPRINT:lol:...

Hopefully this is a MINOR Road Block...THE LAST Thing Andre Ward can Afford to Do is FUCK OFF the Kovalev Fight...Most WOULDN'T Have Given a Fuck if he Retired a Year or 2 Ago...But to Get THIS Close to the BIGGEST Fight in Boxing, it'd Leave a VERY Bad Taste in the Mouths of Boxing Fans and Media, if Ward Fucks This Shit Up...

Who CARES Where You Fight @, JUST FIGHT!!!....

Yeah Ward uses a lot of stink to win his fights(clinching to slow down the pace./or just to annoy his opponents) Kova would punish him if he tries that gay shit....

I doubt Sweet Pea or Hopkins sold shit when they were up against no-hopers, or at least no-namers, too.

Kov didn't look like no technical boxer the few times I've seen him. I think if Ward can fight the perfect fight he'll win. In a fight of skill versus brawn which is really what boxing is all about, I'm going to go with the boxer, and so I say Ward will win this in impressive fashion, maybe even by KO.

I'm not a lawyer, but this would seem like tax evasion to me. I find it highly unlikely that a promoter would resort to such tactics to save a couple of $$$ to secure a no name such as Brand. I read an article on a french sports site who claimed 30 000 $ was really the amount offered by team Ward, thus the other boxers who had expressed some interest in facing SOG backed off (which explain why Ward fought a journeyman like Brand, still doesn't give us any clue on why HBO approved of this matchup)

    I've still got Ward.

Neither warm up fight did anything to change my mind.

The notion that Kovalev is a technical boxer is ridiculous. He is not. What bails him out is his power. He feints yet still doesn't have head movement which means he can be easily countered when he misses. That kind of stand up Euro style Ward is accustomed to. If Kovalev can't clip you solidly he can be outboxed. We saw Bernard Hopkins make a career out of outboxing and out thinking guys. Ward is cut from the same cloth.

To REED, the Bout Boils Down to Kovalev's FEINTS, his WORKRATE and Whether or Not He'll Be DETERRED By Ward's Shots...

Ward Has No Choice but to HONOR Each and Every 1 of Kovalev's Feints...The Key for Kovalev is to Be SMART in Feinting...Don't Do it just for the Fuck Of It, Feint Ward INTO Shots...And FOLLOW UP Those Shots w/More...

Feints, Activity and Punch Resistance...If Kovalev Does the 1st Part, Keeps his Hands VERY Busy and Can WITHSTAND Ward's Punches, REED Can't See Him Losing...

Kov's not as good a boxer as Ward but he's obviously a very sound technical boxer. I know, I know. He lacks the slickness...

I'm more worried about him maintaining his technique if he starts to get frustrated and pacing himself to stay dangerous thru out the fight.

I get the sense Kovalev will get hit when he's not expecting it. That alone makes him stop being as active as he should be. The more he opens up, the more he's available to get countered. He hasn't fought anyone with the skill to make him think faster than he's accustomed to.

Ward's not a KO puncher but he is a good bodypuncher. He's like Pernell Whitaker in that regard. Sweet Pea didn't knock many guys out but he put a lot of hurt on guys with his body attack. That aspect shouldn't be disregarded either.

I also didn't realize they're basically the same height. The danger for Ward is his backing straight back thinking he's not in range then gets clipped. Kovalev overthrows that right hand far too much...backing straight out is what he needs Ward to do.

If Ward matches him strength wise on the inside, it's a long night for Kovalev.

True, but Ward's Been Relatively INACTIVE...His Last MEANINGFUL Fight was 4 Years Ago...

Put it This Way, Canelo's More Proven than GGG, but is There Any Doubt Who'll Be FAVORED???...

Haven't Heard if Team Ward's Backed Off their Displeasure w/the Fight Being Held @ T-Mobile, but the Bout is Being TALKED About Amongst the Masses, like it's a DONE Deal...
