    Just finished this movie. I heard some good things. I enjoyed this movie very much. Had some of the best surfing scenes shot in a movie i have seen. The underground water shots were very well done. This is movie of survival, but it's got a much deeper purpose than just surviving the shark. i would say 90% of the movie, everything, including the shark looked great. But there is one scene where the shark looked too fake and i had glimpses of the Sci Fi Channel. But other than that, top notch movie.

    then there's her final battle with the shark

    Yeah most people that watch it will like it. I mean you have two the fightbeat's most cynical motherfuckers in Magus and RWTP so their reviews are never taken seriously. I mean seriously anyone that tells me they watched Sharknado, but this movie is ridiculous, has to be laughed at.

    I get the concept is ridiculous. But you made the movie out to be a piece of shit, which it's not.

    The idea of any supernatural horror movie is ridiculous, doesnt make it a piece of shit.

    Seriously, The Shallows is an attempt at making a modern-day "Shaarrrkk!!!" movie less ridiculous but with just enough suspension-of-disbelief to take it out of being Sharknadoesque.

    WTF you talking about? this is the second best shark thriller movie ever after JAWS; it kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time she ventured out of the safety of that rock and her pal Steven Seagul!
