So it's the same story as the first one......but with some continuum aspects....like the dude looking for his sister....ala Friday the 13th remake...
The Blair Witch Project was the first "found footage" horror movie, and to this day it remains the creepiest and best of them. It's a very good horror movie. Every found footage horror movie since has tried to duplicate it, but cant. As for this sequel... it looks horrible and probably is. Some movies don't need sequels.
This one got terrible reviews by both critics AND audiences which usually they don't agree. Still it came second at the box office with an anemic $9 million, which for a 'horror franchise' is not a good opening.
Yeah, the original Blair Witch film is actually very creepy and good. I've seen other motha fuckin' flip phone films and they're shit.
They did a motherfuckin' timeloop? Oh hell no! issed: I loved the first one. Still get creeped out when I'm hiking out in the woods and I think about it. I even freaked out my family a little bit a few weeks ago when I was on a trail and messaged them a picture of a Blair Witch type stick figure I found in the woods (I didn't tell them I made it).
so is it bad for a regular movie, or bad even for a horror movie? remember in the horror genre a 6/10 is actually ok
I'd guess it was probably ok if you took it out of context from the other movie. The reviews I've seen don't seem particularly bad for this genre.....just disappointing.
