Whyte couldn't remotely hurt this complete novice bum Allen last time out and now this time needs two closed eyes and a fucked up nose to stop this fat slob Lewison who ate Whyte punches like potato chips. This guy having AJ on queer street no matter how long is not a good sign.

Whyte caught Joshua coming in with a shot that AJ did not SEE...

Plus, he wasn't as badly hurt as it's made out to be. He had his legs back in less than 30 seconds and didn't budge from any other shots Whyte hit him with.

Whyte appears to be a solid guy at domestic level. Definitely someone who can give trouble to the top guys at the very least. One of those guys who probably loses to the very best but gives a decent account of himself.

If his chin was that bad, Whyte would have flattened him.

If anything it shows that AJ has a good chin by the way he responded to being momentarily in trouble.

Yeah, he probably has a shitty chin. Even as a fighter when don't really know if he's good. His biggest test was Whyte, and he's proving to be fairly ordinary

It doesn't seem as good as Allen's or Lewison's...

The 'some reason' is because he looks and pretty much fights exactly like him. He's a very heavily muscled guy who relies on a basic 1-2 punch output and who has shown in the few glimpses we've seen to have less than brilliant stamina.

I'm a long time sceptic on Joshua. Part of me wants him to be the business but a big part of me watched him as an ammy get a load of gift decisions and sees flaws that others seem to want to overlook. I understand why people want him to be the goods, but I'm still unconvinced.

They are similar. But I think AJ is more talented than Bruno.

Plus, there's no Tyson or Lewis around for AJ to worry about.

Oh please, is AJ getting exposed by proxy here or something? He got shaken up by a punch he walked straight into, he recovered within about 5 seconds and was rolling the follow up punches the entire time. Seriously, these days if a guy gets hit with a hard punch it immediately means he is exposed. It's fucking insane.

He did not nearly get knocked out, that is ridiculous. It's hard to think of another punch which has been blown this far out of proportion if I'm honest.

who said he was exposed??? you are more hyperbolic than anyone in this thread.

The only thing that was said is that AJ might have a bad chin since he was badly hurt by Whyte, who seems to be not more than an average puncher.

But it's true that AJ wasn't on the verge of getting Koed against Whyte. I tought so at first, but after someone here (forgot who) pointed out to me it wasn't the case, I checked and he was indeed right.

    Mr. Feebles,

Joshua ISN'T Near as STIFF and ROBOTIC as Bruno...Even w/the 1-2 as the CRUX of Joshua's Offense, his Attack is More VARIED Than Bruno's...

And While Joshua HAS Taken a Round or 2 to Gather Himself in the Latter Rounds of Bouts, it's NOT as If Lack of Stamina has Been an ISSUE, to Date...

Exactly this. 'if Whyte landed a shot, imagine what Bonecrusher Smith would do' such crap.

That being said, Whyte hasn't looked good in any of his other fights so the eye-test of him ( (c) HutHut) might betray

I initially thought it was a temple shot, but I'm sure it landed on the button.

Joshua relies far too much on a 1-2 punch output. In his last fight he basically threw it over and over again until the other guy eventually fell over. I was literally shouting at the TV for him to throw something more varied.

He has only gone past four rounds twice. The first time was against Whyte, who is not very good. Joshua was blowing hard at one point, although he won because Whyte, who is actually fat, was far more fatigued and got hit with a good shot. The second time was against that Brazillia fella. Joshua's punches got less and less effective as the rounds wore on and he was again starting to look a little tired after four rounds.

My feelings on Joshua are well known. I think he's becoming very overrated based on not very much to date. A fight with Klit would be an excelletn barometre of his actual progress.
