Floyd UD...10-2...9-3...but without a doubt the hardest puncher Floyd ever face...so staying off the ropes and box beautifully and easily...shall win the day.

He fight like he's fighting Maidana...and he will DIE..

I really don't know. Floyd never got hit with ANYTHING like Cuevas. And Cuevas didn't give a flying fuck. He was out there from the word go with murder in his heart with every shot, and didn't care about walking through a few to land.

Unlike Hearns, he could afford to eat Floyd's punches coming in without getting KTFO.

The safe bet is to pick Floyd by decision, but this is a HELLUVA lot more dangerous than fighting Hatton, old Oscar, Crapnelo, ect..

More dangerous P4P than Diego Corrales at 130lbs?

the fuck outta here! Floyd wins with consummate ease.

Ummm..... yes. By far so. Cuevas had bigger power than Corrales in both a P4P and an absolute sense.

Your lack of boxing knowledge is appalling.

I used to believe that Sly knew a lot more about the history of boxing than he actually does.

Asking is Cuevas a bigger puncher than Corrales? LMFAAOOOO! Even as a Chico fan that made me crack up.

Cuevas is not a bigger puncher than Corrales p4p, and if he is, it's by a very slight margin. Guy was getting his ko by being aggressive and landing a lot of punches and has very few true one punch ko where the guy sleep. Hell, against Duran, he landed a lot and never fazed him.

Still, even though Pbf is a much much better than Cuevas, he would struggle a lot against Cuevas active reckless style and quick feet. Far from sure that he wins this one.

Mayweather via UD with lots of nervous jeopardy along the way.

Cuevas is MUCH BETTER than Hatton, Judah, old Oscar, undersized Marquez, old Mosley, and Maidana.

The safe pick is Mayweather's skills to carry the day, but make no mistake. This would be his most dangerous opponent, and if Cuevas can land with the same regularity that Maidana did, Mayweather loses via stoppage.

Tough fight for Floyd. But one that he can and SHOULD win.

"Old" Oscar would have Mayorga'd that clown. By the way it was an old Mayweather that fought MaidAna so I wish you guy would stop referencing that fight in Mythical Matchups. Do y'all reference the Camacho fight when talking about Leonard Matchups?

STOPPED? Now I know you are TROLLING...lol...lol...You think Cuevas is Hatton?? You think Floyd is going to slowly break him down and counter him to a KO?

Fucking Floyd was happy to cruise to a decision against BUMDOMIR....but he's going to KO Cuevas?

That's what you are thinking, right??? Cuevas = Bumdomir...lol...

Floyd had like 2 ko's in like 12 fights at welter and up yet he'd surely KO Cuevas because Tommy Hearns and Roberto Duran did it. Brilliant.

Does Pipino Cuevas hit harder than Jose Luis Castillo?
    Was Cuevas a body-puncher?
Would Cuevas be wearing smooth-soled boots?

    :dunno:

Which contrarian bulshit?? That he hit Duran plenty and never fazed him. If you actually watch the fight and not rely on some fantasy bullshit, that's what actually happened. Hell, even the commentators mentionned it. Cuevas was a hard puncher, but he was getting his ko a lot more by accumulation than pure one punch power. Corrales single shots had much more impact (see Cassamayor, Freitas, Castillo) on better fighters.

Cuevas KO's were usually him knocking his opponent goofy with one big shot and then bouncing them around for a few seconds until it was over. I wouldn't consider that attrition...

Against who though? Were all these guys he knocked silly, previously never-been-knocked-out fighters? Tua knocked quite a few guys silly as well, so did Bruno, Ruddock and many others.

that's not true. At least , not against decent oppositons. Sure it happened a few times. But not that often. A lot of his KO were based on attrition. And I never said the guy wasn't a huge puncher: he was. But he wasn't in a different league than Corrales when it came to punching power. Chico hurted and turned fight around with on punch more often and against much better fighter that Pipino.
