Aka Jaws with a Killer Whale.

Anybody ever seen this old flick? It's an entertaining movie. Not nearly as GOOD as Jaws, but fun enough to keep ones interest.

 

I remember when it came out....I only got to see 2-3 clips of it on TV and thought it looked amazing.
Even bought the book and developed an interest in Killer whales.

Saw it a few years later and hated it.

 

I liked when he blew up an entire fishing village. ::

 

Ridiculous.
Like the whale remember fucking pisshead Richard Harris harpooning its mate and baby.....and followed the cunt all the way back to the harbor, smashed it up, etc



And then bit off Bo Derek´s broken-leg in plaster. :gig:

I watched it upon its release just because I was bored. I thought it was a dumb version of Moby Dick, but it had a beautiful cinematography. I always liked Richard Harris, but even his performance here was awful. No wonder this film bombed.

 

Only thing I really remember is the chick getting her broken leg bitten off plaster and all.

 

I certainly enjoyed it back in the day, but it'll probably look terrible nowadays.

 

Yeah it was essentially Moby Dick with a Killer Whale instead of a Sperm Whale.

 

Really like this movie and these days I think I'd rather sit through this than Jaws. It has a nice musical score too.

I didn't say it was better. It's just I'm sick of Jaws and haven't seen Orca in a long time.

 

Ummm.... it's not supposed to be a realistic movie.
