Cherry Garcia did what he had to do, and beat the Hell outta Spence's leftovers as he should have. Very much looking forward to Thurman-Garcia. I still think Thurman will likely win, but I'm not gonna pretend like Garcia doesn't have a great chance. Thurman isn't the most durable guy.
Thurman is the logical favorite but I could see Garcia upsetting him easily. In fact, my gut feeling is that Garcia may just end up beating the hell outta him.
I might change my pick to Cherry by time fight week comes. I hate him, but I kinda owe him for giving him no shot against Khan and Matty Ice. I'm not gonna dumb and act like he has no chance against Thurman. Garcia has limitations, but Thurman isn't very good. More-less, we have a 50-50 fight here.
yeah. agree. very much looking forward to this fight. thurman will have handspeed and power advantage. but i think garcia with his timing and accuracy will land clean on thurman. and i still don't trust thurman's chin. so lots to contemplate here.
Agreed. But in Thurman's defense, we don't know if Garcia will handle the same bombs Porter took. I do know this, if Danny's not a idiot, and he's not a stupid fighter, he'll dig Thurman's glass body from the start.
I'm going with Garcia. He's a better boxer than Thurman. One Time is overrated as both a boxer and a puncher.
