:::::: Charlo gets his ass kicked by Vargas, nevermind Tito. There's not ONE goddamn thing Charlo does better than Tito. Not a single one.
Charlo CANNOT Afford to Stay in Front of Trinidad, Like he Did J-Rock Last Night... REED Likes Trinidad to Stop Charlo Mid to Late, in an Entertaining, Back and Forth Slugfest... REED:kidcool:
I think Vargas beats the shit outta him. The late 90s/early 00s era of welters/junior middles was head and shoulders more talented than the current guys. Vargas was a legit top 10 P4P fighter going into the Tito fight. Let's not start to overrate Charlo.
Who's Overrating Him???... Vargas' Chin and Defense were his WORST Assets and Charlo Can Obviously Punch a Bit...Charlo's BIGGER than Vargas Too, Who was Typically the LARGER Man in his Bouts... Vargas was Dropped HARD by Wilfredo Rivera...Charlo Could Definitely HURT Him as Well... REED:mj:
I know he's considered a bum in retrospect, but in reality, William Joppy was a solid fighter. I'm not 100% that Charlo even BEATS Joppy, let alone obliterates him the way Tito did.
Charlo can punch a fair bit. Definitely harder than I thought (Or J-Rock's jaw is just made of fine china). But Charlo appears to not be a defensive genius. Vargas would land plenty. And Fernando would dig the body and push Charlo back with his superior strength. Charlo vs Reid would be interesting.
Charlo is too easy to hit and hit clean and he showed some serious stamina issues against Trout. At this point he would only seem to have a punchers chance against Tito and it's not clear how big of a puncher he really is. Vargas could get caught but he'd kick Charlos ass until it happened and then there's a really high chance he'd survive and go back to kicking his ass. If Charlo gassed to the point of looking clunky and uncoordinated like he did against Trout I don't doubt Vargas would stop him.
If he can land clean consistently, I agree 100%. But let's not forget, it took Tito 7 rounds to find the range. I think Charlo-Reid is very competitive.
Charlo seems to eat straight punches and Reid had a sharp right hand. Charlo seems to have a solid chin though.
This happens all the time I swear. Charlo was underrated. Now in less than a week he's OVERRATED. I'm not convinced he even BEATS David Reid, let alone "kills him". What a joke. Not even Tito "killed" Reid. Is Charlo somehow a bigger puncher than Trinidad? The guy went life and death with Austin Trout 6 months ago. BARELY squeezed by. Let's not go overboard about him.
Bad argument Tito pretty much let Reid went the distance by pity. It was rather obvious that je could have stopped him if he put his feet on the gaz a bit. And Reid was nearly killed by a few bums before Tito, and was Killed by bums afterward.
Who "nearly killed" Reid before Tito? Reid dominated much better guys before Tito than the guys he struggled with and lost to afterwards.
To be honest with you, he's sorta right. I haven't watched Tito-Reid in like 10 years, but from what I remember... Tito did kinda pity him in the last round. It was as if he said "I gave you a horrible beating and you hung in there, you deserve to go 12." I think he liked Reid. With Vargas, different story, cause Tito hated Vargas. He damn sure wasn't gonna coast on Nando in the last round. He probably didn't care if he killed Vargas.
those loaded gloves served tito well that night. could see he may have burst some blood vessels in his nose throwing with that much extra weight in his gloves.
yeah, it was obvious at the time and even the commentators were refering to it a couple of time. Most journalist were also saying it after the fight You have to rebember that most on this forum have the memory of a goldfish at best
