Obviously this is the sequel to Good Will Hunting only they couldn't secure Matt Damon (and Robin Williams surprisingly) to reprise their roles so Ben had to pick up the slack and do a reboot which skips the whole juvenile delinquent angle.
I thought this was pretty good for an action film. Maybe those who didn't like it found it a bit slow as it wasn't John Wick, but then I abhore John Wick. If you want a mindless overkill of an action film like that, this isn't it. I think what made this film good was it had a better than average back story for the main character who was pretty complex. It also had very good supporting characters such as Anna Kendrick, J.K Simmons, John Lithgow and Jon Bernthal. Don't get me wrong now, the action scenes were very good also, and this wasn't what I would call a slow movie, I thought it struck a nice balance. The one negative that did slightly bug me throughout the film was Affleck's terrible portrayal of an autistic character. You could tell Affleck wanted the best of both worlds, the mathematical genius of a Rainmain like character without sacrificing the cool calm demeanor of a Jason Bourne type and he floated in and out of the two a bit too much. Actually he reminded me of a guy who was pretending to be autistic but couldn't remember to stay in character. Still, it was a good film and definitely worth your time. I recommend it. 7/10
I quite liked this one. I don't need to over explain. Could have certainly gotten somebody better then Affleck to "Rainman" the whole thing, but he was passable I guess. 7/10
