Godfather Complete Epic The Conversation The French Connection Taxi Driver Dog Day Afternoon Clearly the greatest era for film... There's like 10 others I wish I could list... When the people who matter the most in the arts (the artists) had the most control... You'll never see another era that can touch it
The 90s was an amazing movie era. It wasn't until the last 17 years that movie making became a "total disaster".
The 90s was a fine decade for films and much better than the 80s and better than right now for sure, but it can't touch the 70s, to me
I realize that The Poseidon Adventure might be a controversial choice, but I just think it's a superb movie. Far and away the king of disaster movies. Not sure if he was nominated, but Hackman was Oscar worthy in Poseidon.
It would be full of explosions and a ridiculous cartoon version of a car chase... There would be no ambiguity about Popeye Doyle, he'd be made 100% likable and attractive and the Alain Charnier character would be like El Chapo on Steroids
cdogg is being kind to scrub like Anthony when he says he prefers the 70s to the 90s: Anthony, IS a fucking scub. The 70s spat, pissed, shitted, vomitted and nutted on the 90s when it came to movie making.
Theres so fucking many awesome movies from this decade, the title should be changed to Top 50 Movies Of The 70s I mean, seriously.....the best decade EVAH.
