Man in the Iron Mask (Dicaprio Version)

Why is it that I'm in the minority when it comes to loving this film? I thought it was great! Excellent cast, character development, action, drama, ending twist.

Underrated film.

I can understand with your obsession with Crimson Tide, because that's a very good movie, but this bullshit?

Naahhhhh. Man In The Iron Mask is a bad movie. It has only has a 33% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and there's a reason why.

In fact, I'll go as far as to say it's THE WORST DiCaprio movie.

 

The Count of Monte Cristo, the 2002 version with Jim Caviezel and Guy Pearce, now THAT was a good movie and very underrated.

 

That was good too.

But I love MITIM. I get that it wasn't as gritty as other films in that genre but it was bloody entertaining.

 

To each his own. I thought it was a boring piece of shit, and most reviews seem to agree.

 

Agreed. Quality film.

 

I liked the DiCaprio movie, flaws and all, for a one time viewing, but it is way inferior than previous versions to be honest.

Yeah, apparently there's an objective standard when it comes to what films are deemed as good or bad, and that objective standard has been set forth by the one and only Xplosive. For example, apparently Avatar is bad because although billions of people love it, the one and only Xplosive hates it.

 

I am sorry we didn't love Brokeback Mountain as much as you did. :hut:
