By far the best Liam Neeson movie of recent years, and the one that got overshadowed by the overrated ass Taken franchise.

This is a great movie really. Before it came out, the previews made it seem like just an action movie, but it turned out to be a very deep, suspenseful drama with well developed characters and far more graphic than anyone expected.

And then to top it off, you have the AWESOME ending!

I think The Grey is a classic, tbh. One of the 5 best movies since 2010.

The Grey is better than The Revenant in my opinion and I compare them because they are both tales of survival in a frozen wilderness.

    Taken overrated? Please.

The Grey and The Revenant are COMPLETELY different movies. The Revenant is essentially a revenge movie. The Grey has nothing to do with revenge... its simply about trying to avoid a murderous pack of wolves, and almost like No Country For Old Men, one of the themes is you can't avoid your fate.

But yes, The Grey is a much better movie than The Revenant.

As for Taken, the first one was good. The rest of the franchise was horrible.

Yes they are both different in that aspect but reminiscent of each other in the survival in the wilderness aspect. I did qualify my remarks you argumentative cunt. Lol

Yup the first Taken is what I'm talking about. The rest were pointless (although the second was somewhat entertaining).

    Come on.
Taken is ridiculous and only famous for the now massively over-used quote...

In agree. I said Taken 1 was "good", but I don't see it as anything more. Certainly not a classic. I haven't watched it in years. If I re-watched it now, I might even think of it as less than good.

I've never heard anyone say that Taken was "great". It's obviously just a good action film, and most see it that way...so how is it "overrated"?

I've heard plenty of people call Taken a great movie, and even some people say it's one of the best action flicks ever. If you're not one of those people, cool. But overall, Taken is overrated.

But anyway, let's not make this about Taken. Back to The Grey...

Grey was good. Those guys had to endure some serious shit. Crash landing in a frozen wilderness in the vicinity of a pack of wolves is the stuff of nightmares.

Only watched the Grey once and thought it was okay. Admittedly, it does seem like one of those films that gets better the more you see it, so in that respect I won't disagree with the premise of this thread.
