THIS... Just as there's Factions Toooooo Quick to ANOINT Fighters, there's Also Factions Tooooooooo Quick to WRITE THEM OFF... REED:mj:
He hasn't done shit. He shows some promise. But he's been most impressive against guys half his size. And he really has no wins against any top guy. He will have to do more before it will be worth talking about him. BTW, he looks like Shannon Briggs' nephew.
WHOthefuck Has Hurd Beat, Neil???... The Burden of Proof is On YOU, Homey... Go Name for Name and Wilder has a BETTER Resume, Period...The Fact that You're NOT a Fan of Heavyweight Boxing Only LESSENS Your Credibility in this Instance... As REED Types, Deontay Wilder has a BETTER Resume than Jarrett Hurd... REED:hammert:
i disagree. harrison is as good as any of these clowns wilder has fought. Im not a fan of heavyweight boxing because there are no skilled and/or talented heavyweights. wilder himself cant fight. he is just a tall guy with some punching power. do you look at wilder and think to yourself this is a skilled boxer?
Regardless if Wilder is any good, Hurd hasn't done shit. And that is why nobody is talking about him.
hurd just beat harrison who is a talented front runner. hurd also was the best fighter on the card. same card shitty wilder was on
Stiverne was a legit top-10 guy when Wilder beat him and Duhaupas is around top-20, Arreola and Spzilka around 30. That's not much, but it is much more than Jatred has done, no question. Furthermore, Wilder might not have skills, apart of the skill of knocking his opponents out. That is a pretty important skill
It's not all relative. These guys can't fight. Just because you are ranked in the top 20 or 30 of an awful division doesn't mean you are good. It's not even compaing apples and oranges. It's comparing apples and feces
In a pound for pound sense Harrison is obviously leagues above Stiverne, Duhaupus and Arreola... LMAO. Are you blind? Marteroshian is clearly better than Stiverne and he's an average fighter. HW's always benefit from the "relatively speaking" argument but a 10 year old girl could see Harrison is miles better than Stiverne and Hurd is miles better than Wilder.
What You're Saying Is, "These Guys Aren't POLISHED", "These Guys Aren't TECHNICALLY SOUND"...And You're Correct... That Being Said, There's MORE to "Fighting" than Being Polished and Technically Sound...There's a MULITITUDE of Ways to Skin a Cat and Win a Prizefight...Whether You Appreciate the MANNER of Victory is Irrelevant, Deontay Wilder is 38-0, 37 KO's... Against Decent Opposition, Thus Far... REED:hammert:
"Relatively Speaking" is the GENESIS of the Pound for Pound Argument... "Relatively Speaking", You Say Harrison is Better than Stiverne and Hurd is Better than Wilder, but if Harrison is SHARING a Ring w/Stiverne or Hurd is SHARING a Ring w/Wilder, Do you REALLY Think that 10 Year Old Girl is Going to Pick Harrison and Hurd to Come Out Victorious???... Of Course Not... REED:hammert:
The old dubblechin argument! At least reed won't argue for 20 pages how Henry akinwande is better than Ricardo lopez Cuz he'd kick his Ass in an actual fight like that cretin dodge did
What's Changed???... To REED's Knowledge, Pound for Pound was Created as a Way of APPRECIATING the Greatness of Sugar Ray Robinson...It was UNDERSTOOD Robinson was Tooooooooooo SMALL to Ever Be Heavyweight Champion (& This was Back when Heavyweight Boxing RAN the Sport), yet his Level of SKILL and TALENT Stood Apart from Any Other Fighter of his Day... Thus, "Pound for Pound"... Today, Recency is Used to PREVENT Guys like Floyd from "Retiring", Going M.I.A., yet Still Proclaiming Themselves "The Best Fighter in the World, Pound for Pound"... REED:hammert:
Not Sure WHY Terp Went the "Relatively Speaking" Route, Because that Type of Verbiage SPAWNED Pound for Pound as we Know It... Not Sure WHY Terp Referenced 10 Year Old Girls Either, Because there's a ZERO % Chance of a Female Shorty Picking a Jr. Middleweight OVER a Heavyweight, in a Fight... And No, REED Won't Waste Even 1 Page Arguing a Heavyweight's Worth Over Another Fighter, Because REED Appreciates BOTH Sides of the Coin... The Problem is, Fans like YOU and Terp Go Out of Your Way to PROMOTE the Lower Weight Classes, While Openly SHITTING on Heavyweights...That's NO Different than the Litany of So-Called "Boxing Fans" who Don't Watch Fights Contested BELOW 126-130lbs, Bitch About the LACK of Power in the Lower Weight Classes and Just Can't Be Bothered to Watch Guys "the Size of Horse Jockey's or Middle School Children" in a Fight... To REED's Point, the Heavyweight Division is MORE Interesting Today than it's Been @ ANY Point Since Lennox Lewis Retired...Yet You Seem Content WILLINGLY Missing the Boat... REED:hammert:
Not sure why you're talking about jockeys and "diaper weights" when Hurd and Harrison are jr. middles. There is no "side of the coin" there's boxers and the concept of pound for pound. I like Wilder and he's beat some decent opponents but he's not that good and he probably wouldn't be undefeated if there were HW's in the middle of the pack as good as Hurd and Harrison. I'm not sure why this triggered you. Is Deontay you're new negro idol?
difference being the contingent who refuses to watch fighters below 126lbs has done so their entire life. when there were actual talented heavyweights around i would watch them.
Responding to a Post on a Messageboard is a Sign of Being TRIGGERED, All of a Sudden???::... EVERYsingleTIME You Get OWNED in a Boxing Debate, You Play the BIAS Card...REED Wouldn't Donate a Pint of Piss to Deontay Wilder's Cause, but Thanks for 1nce Again Making it CLEAR When You're CORNERED... As You Were, Twerp... REED:hammert:
If You Honestly DON'T See Even a Modicum of Talent in Anthony Joshua, You're BLIND, Bruh... REED:hammert:
I've never seen him fight I've seen wilder, unfortunately. Saw him in Olympics and thought maybe he could develop but he's every bit as raw now as he was then, and may have even regressed
