If Cherry can't put the slightest dent in a washed up/undersized Guerrero, then his punches aren't gonna have much effect on Williams.

Thurman could probably potshot Williams to a close decision but Garcia gets beat up and out worked. Williams UD.

 

Paul Williams victories over Magarito and Winky count for far more than anything Thurman or Cherry have done.

Yes, but not because he was better, per se, it's hard to see Cherry and Thurman turning in the same sort of performance that Cheato did vs Mosley and Pac, where he just ate shot after shot in an insipid display that was short on everything bar dumb bravery.

In fact, this thread demonstrates how style is talent, in the right circumstances.

Margarito was crap, imho, but he had a style that would allow his crapness to give him a solid chance of beating Garcia, whose own style is too conservative and irregular.

 

Margarito's advantage was illegal shit in his gloves. I am convinced of that.

 

I'm not convinced that Marg could have snuck plaster of paris past every commission for over 5 years.
