Anyone watch this series? I've seen the first 2 seasons and they are excellent. Definitely has its similarities to the movie with its dark humor, the accents, Martin Freeman's character is similar to that of William H. Macy in Fargo, they occasionally use the music from the movie. There's other similarities and homages to other Coen Brother movies. The lone unstoppable force like Tex Cobb in Raising Arizona and Javier Bardem in No Country for Old Men. They have similar scenes in season 2 to the gas station in NCFOM and the dream in Raising Arizona. It's a good mix of dark humor and crime thriller. Its an anthology series with new casts each season. I haven't seen season 3, the reviews are pretty good but lower than the first 2. Season 1: 9/10 Season 2: 8.5/10
I liked Season 2 better then Season 1, and I really liked Season 1. Only a few episodes into Season 3 so far, and it's good, but I'd rate it behind the other 2 Seasons as of right now. Also, not to be a dick (I'm gonna be a dick about this), but there's an existing thread for this already, and the search function does work on this new site. I'd have merged it myself but I don't know how on this new platform. I think only Anthony has the keys for that.
I'm all about the unwritten rules baby (in baseball AND in life). If that makes me unpopular, then you can just cut the foreskin right off my magical pecker.
I can't decide wether season 1 or 2 is the best. I was amazed that season 2 could hold the incredible standard with a totally different story. Season 3 is clearly not on the level but still pretty good.
Just watched the first episode of season 1. I love it. It's wacky, violent and funny just like the movie. The little twerpy guy is a perfect twerp.
