Not trying to speak for Irish here but most Irish folk I know, I'm half Irish myself and know plenty, they seem to love the guy, but purely in an MMA sense. Not many of them are into boxing, if they are it's in a very casual way, even those guys realise this is an utter mismatch.

But a lot of it is just him playing UP the stereotype.

 

All in all....based on what I'm hearing about mcgregors popularity ( I didn't realize he was that popular or that he made that much money) I don't think it's as bad a move my Floyd as I originally thought.if any of us could make $100M facing a popular guy with no experience like this we'd take the opportunity as well.
