Thurman wins in clear fashion. Bradley was never impressive at 147, unless you count losing 9-3 to Pac and somehow getting the decision. Not enough firepower to hurt Thurman, and he's a step too slow/less athletic to outbox him. Thurman doesn't stop Bradley, but his left hook consistently catches Timmy in-between combos and hurts him throughout the fight.
Thurman is too big, too strong, and too athletic. This would look a lot like the Thurman-Garcia fight, with Thurman running around, landing occasional flurries, and Bradley following him around trying to cut the distance, but he'd be unsuccessful. Thurman via UD with 9-3/8-4 type scores.
Thurman for sure. And he could possibly stop him considering what Vargas managed. Bradley doesn't have a chance against any of the Showtime guys except possibly Garcia, although I would pick Garcia in that one as well.
I think Bradley overall was a better fighter than your boy Porter, but Porter would probably beat him simply based on being too big and strong. I do agree that based on styles, Timmy's best chance would be against slow footed Garcia. I doubt Thurman stops Bradley though. Timmy was tough, and Thurman's no killer. However, the soft spoken brother from Dallas, WOULD stop Bradley.
Bradley never showed ANYTHING at 147 to suggest he could beat Thurman. He had a draw with the same Diego Chaves that Thurman stopped. He went life and death with Provo, and lost that fight in my book. He got an all time terrible gift against Pac, and he struggled with Jesse Vargas. Bradley's career best performance was against Peterson.... at 140. He was never a quality welterweight. Thurman's too damn big for him.
Bradley was a tough, well rounded determined guy who always showed up and was willing to take chances when things weren't going his way. If he could steal some early rounds I could see Thurman pulling a Garcia and melting down late. Garcia never did shit at 147 either. Porters defining win is over Broner who never did shit at 147 either.
Garcia is a naturally bigger man than Bradley, with a better chin. As slow and one dimensional as Garcia is, he has one helluva chin. Bradley wasn't as difficult to hurt. Timmy's simply too small for Thurman.
Garcia's not bigger than Bradley. Timmy the head can be hurt but he's a tough tenacious guy. I like Thurman, he's well rounded too, bigger and more talented. But he seems like he's cruising for an upset loss to somebody and I could see Bradley doing it.
No, Garcia is definitely bigger than Bradley. Garcia was huge at 140, and even at 147 he's a pretty good sized welterweight. He's also 5'9.... Timmy is like 5'5. Bradley wasn't even a big junior welter, let alone welter. Thurman's the bigger AND more talented man.
He's saying "I'm going to stand on this stool so I can look you in the eye." They were both strong jr welters and were not talking about Garcia-Bradley. Bradley had good foot speed and Thurman can't really fight inside. I wouldn't be shocked to see Bradley guy out a win since I don't think Thurman can stop him.
