Perhaps...but Pavlik is so much bigger than Leonard, more powerful and he threw a hell of a lot of punches. Remember Leonard in 1987 was somewhat of a spurt fighter. He got away with it against Hagler because Marvin was getting old himself but against Pavlik that would be a problem. Leonard's speed and great skills will carry him to a clear victory but it wont be a walk in the park.
Don't be fooled. Hagler was past his prime, but even the faded Hagler of 87 is in a different league than the best version of Pavlik. Leonard's speed and movement would be the difference. 87 Leonard is still much faster than Pavlik, and still moves too well for Pavlik to get set often. And... 87 Leonard had enough pop left to keep Kelly honest, or even hurt him if he got careless.
