Hatton wins, but has to endure some dangerous moments along the way. He's a bit too quick for Matty Ice though.

Prime Hatton was too fast for Matty Ice. He'd have gotten inside him and bust him up while giving him little room to let his hands go. Hatton wins.

He wouldn't "bust him up". He'd beat him the same way he did two other powerful, yet slow opponents... by scoring, then tying him up.

Prime Hatton was a much more mobile fighter than the sloth he turned into by the time Frunk finally put him in with a live opponent. Hatton had phenominal footspeed and used to have an excellent body attack, moving in and out of range very effectively. The hump and hold eyesore version of Hatton only came when he used that style to beat Zoo and decided it was the best way to fight from then on.

It is easy to forget that Hatton was probably past his best when he beat Zoo. Frunk protected him beyond belief up to that point - I think he was about 40-0 when Frunk decided to cash Hatton in. Like Calzaghe, Hatton stepped up to his better opposition far too late.

Hatton was still in his prime when he beat Tszyu.

Nah, he wasn't. It was his standout win but he wasn't in his prime. Anyone who had seen him in his thirty-odd fights beforehand could see that. Hatton was always going to be an early bloomer. His lifestyle was never conductive to the kind of longevity of the likes of Floyd or Hopkins (and of course both are much better).

So name an opponent where you would say that Hatton was in his prime against. Was it an old Vince Philips? Cause he beat up old Vince, but was still hurt in the process.

Hatton was in his PRIME up until he fought Floyd. He never recovered from that KO.

You could argue that he was past his PEAK by then, but I very much think that the version of Hatton that beat Tszyu was the best ever version.

The DIFFERENCE he was in with a top fighter in Tszyu, and not the scrubs he was feasting on years prior. So naturally, he's not gonna look as dominant.

lol, at Hatton not being in his prime against Tszyu, His two best performances were probably the Castillo and Paulie fight, and they came afterward.

Anyway. Hatton wins by mauling him
